We stayed here on two occasions during our trip to Chile. Good location within walking distance to the centre of town. The rooms were comfortable, the wifi worked 90% of the time and we enjoyed a decent breakfast spread. Although we struggled to communicate with the staff via email and in person (due to our poor Spanish) everyone was always very friendly. Our only concern came on our first morning when we had to get up quite early and needed breakfast. There was no breakfast available and in struggling to speak to the night manager/security guard we realized that we'd made a mistake and that breakfast wouldn't be served for at least another hour. We figured that if he was the security guard, he would have a key to the kitchen and that we could get a piece of fruit or bread, anything for the long day we had ahead of us, but he just kept saying no. So beware and double check when breakfast is served as restaurants aren't open...
Read moreComfort level is quite individual, and this B&B was not within my comfort zone. It is located outside the main city, and in the midst of fairly seedy buildings and ¨gentlemen´s clubs.¨ It was an area in which we did not feel safe walking around - particularly at night.||||The desk staff does not speak English so our need for some intervention and phone calls to Sky Airlines were challenging. The hallway carpets are so old that they are completely flattened, stained, and frayed/separated at the seams. Our room was small and had no place for opening a suitcase. The mattress was sprung and should have been replaced years ago. We could hear our neighbours through the walls, and early or late showers by neighbours sounded like a jet flying through our room.||||The breakfast is bread-centric. We pined for a hard boiled egg, but that was not available. All in all, this was not...
Read moreWe were quite happy with our choice to stay at Hotel Patagonia B&B. It is located a bit outside the city center up the hill which offers great views on the bay and surroundings. (Also right below the "Restaurante Toques de la Patagonia" which we highly recommend for dinner). The staff was nice and helpful. They called the ferry company for us in order to arrange our visit to Isla Magdalena and they reserved our taxi to the airport. The rooms are simple but nice with a comfortable bed and a renovated white bathroom. Good breakfast with musli, fruits, yoghurt, juice, toast, cheese and ham -for sure better than most other hostels or B&B places we have stayed at.||They seem to be building more rooms which unfortunately made it quite noisy in the morning and during the day. Also, when guest arrive later in the evening it can get quite loud in the hall way because the walls are...
