Just an awful service. We were told to wait for 45 by the head waitress Beatriz and decide for our courses and what to drink while she entered all table payments and tips to the computer at the reception. Then, after 35 minutes one of the waitresses told her that were plenty tables already set in the dining room. After hearing this we stood up only to wait 10 more minutes for her to finish typing and then to rise her head to us and to tell us that our table was ready. After being seated she rushed to us to hand us the menu but to our surprise she told us to wait even longer and that she could not hear our selection making us wait some extra time while she seated a new table stating to them that she was their waitress. After ordering our food and drinks she rushed our order only to find out that the restaurant has no idea how to handle food allergies and that basically most of the food is processed in the same area so you could bet that there is crossed contamination somewhere in your plate. After waiting this long and deciding for the most simple alternative we were served our food (rare meat when asking for well done) after witnessing the drama of the whole staff of waitresses fighting for their tips as the same waitress was hoarding tables leaving the rest of the staff to run around. And then, Noone brought our drinks... We were almost finished with our food when our drinks were brought to us half empty as we saw one of the staff waitresses struggle to open doors with our drinks. No apology, just half in one drink. I am sure this is not a place for those that expect a good experience or even the slightest hint of regular service. We were worried about our allergies and even more after sending a dish back to the kitchen because we over heard them scream that the cook was mad at them for the lack of coordination from the whole place. Yes, the name says it all, the crazy mare is that......
Read moreLa Yegua Loca is the perfect place to start/end your journey into southern Chile. I stayed here for a few days prior to starting the W trek, and returned afterwards for a night before flying home. ||The entire staff of La Yegua Loca greeted us with friendly smiles and kindness. The rooms are extremely clean as well as beautiful. They come equipped with a pair of comfortable wool slippers, water and a sweet treat! Each room has a different theme that ties back to the history of Patagonia. The pillows and the bed were extremely comfortable, something I was looking forward to on my second time around after the W trek. The bathrooms are fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap and a hair dryer, as well as a towel warmer. Everything felt so luxurious. ||While I was away hiking along the W, La Yegua Loca safely looked after any extra luggage/clothing I didn’t want to carry on my trek. In addition, they made an early take away breakfast spread to accommodate my early departure.||Even if you are not staying overnight here, the restaurant is a must try! The breakfast and dinners are both delicious and there’s something for everyone. ||I cannot rave enough about this hotel, it was a truly special experience visiting Chile, and the comforts of La Yegua Loca and their kind staff just really added to my positive experience...
Read moreWorst experience ever in a restaurant! First, the service is lax and slow. Second, I ordered a salad and it wasn't what it was written on the menu: regular tomatoes instead of confit, no sesame seed, baby corn and balsamic vinegar were add even if it was not written and I even found a lettuce heart! I told the waiter and he took my dish without asking me if I wanted the same thing or order a new dish. He came back 10 min laters with a new salad and the chef. The chef said something in spanish and seems upset. They left and I started to check the salad. It was wrong again: grilled tomatoes instead of confit, iceberg salad instead of green leaves and I found a scallop!!!!! The waiter and the chef came back and I told them about the second salad. The chef started to yell at me in spanish and told me to leave! That's what I did with my lover, without paying anything, but explaining with the rest of the staff (not the angry chef) what was just happened. If a chef cannot take a critic, especially when he is wrong, there...
