I have been debating how to write this review. The facilities are definitely lacking. I would say 1-2 stars. It was clean, ish. But it was very loud - we were street level so ear plugs were mandatory. Also, the shower was VERY high up. It was difficult to get into and out of. ||The shower stopped working Sunday night and they did get someone in Monday to get it working again. ||The BEST part of this hotel was the fact they would work with you for breakfast times. We had breakfast at 5am and then 5:30am the next day when our tours were 6am or 6:15am.||Now, my husband was horrified by the state of the bathroom floors. I pointed out that it was just the coating coming off. But yeah, this is definitely like a one star property. BUT! Their willingness to fix the shower and the willingness to do an early breakfast was super helpful. ||Would I stay here again? Probably not. But if you need a place that allowed check in at all hours, is centrally located, and works with you on breakfast and are okay with sub-par accommodations? Worth it.||I would call this hostel level accommodations with very attentive service. ||They did do housekeeping services every day! ||But the accommodations are very dated and leave much to be desired. ||However, if check in flexibility and breakfast times are important,...
Read moreThis hotel is very well located within easy striking distance of the central square and the centre. The cleanliness of the room we had is not in question, nor is the comfort of the beds however there are several updates and modifications that would improve the place. The room we had was facing onto the street and the sound proofiing is not good. The curtains did not fit the windows so light from the front signage kept the room illuminated all night. There is a rather incongruous piped music systems which plays on the landing area and in your room if you care to turn up the volume control (we didn't). But one evening it was left on out on the landing into the early hours when residents would probably want to be asleep. And then there was the erratic central heating system which came on at 1am and turned the room into a sauna, so much so that we had to go down and ask for it to be sorted out. The breakfasts are probably standard Chilean fare but they are dull, no variety and unappealing. ||||All in all, the hotel was relatively comfortable but not value for the money we...
Read moreWe stayed here in April 06 for just one night before flying back to Santiago. The hotel is quite sweet with very friendly staff and the most outlandish decor we've seen for a long time. Dark wallpaper, heavy carpets, plastic flowers, piped music and 70s porn film style bathrooms. Kept us entertained! Free internet access is great and as we were the only people staying there - it was very quiet. The hotel is centrally located and on a corner where a quiet street meets a noisy one so ensure you get the quiet side. Heating is pumped through vents into the room, this was ok until we woke at 2am in 80 deg heat and had to open the windows! ||Not bad for one night's stay but if you're staying longer, look for something a...
