We stayed at this hotel as part of an Antarctica expedition cruise package (both before and after the cruise), and also one night paid on our own before the group met. ||The location can’t be beat, as it’s right across from one of the main squares in town, and walking distance to many shops, cafes, restaurants, and the beach. The property itself appears to be one of the larger hotels in the area, but with the growth in tourism and expedition cruising, it looks like more are being built – so this hotel may not be the ‘biggest’ in town for long. Since the hotel is on a main street, transfer/tour buses are able to park directly in front (for a short while), which is helpful. There are only steps leading to the lobby, and no ramp, which can be a bit tricky with heavy luggage. Similarly, there are only two small(ish) elevators in the lobby, so at times there was a line. ||The façade and main floor/lobby of the hotel have an inviting look and warm feel, and it seems like it’s maybe been updated in recent years. We stayed in two different rooms – one of them on a corner, which had 3 windows, and one in the center, which had 1 window. In both cases, the rooms felt a little less updated than the lobby; parts of the room felt new, but other parts, like the bathtub, bathroom walls, tile, etc., feel like they need a refresh. Nonetheless, both rooms were clean and comfortable. I especially loved the cozy duvet, although the mattresses were a bit too squishy for my liking. Some have mentioned issues with the temperature control, and it’s true there is no thermostat – there are only water-powered radiators, and we couldn’t figure out how to turn them on in one room, or turn them off in the other. The windows can crack open a bit, but that’s only somewhat helpful. Speaking of windows – in our corner room, the bathroom has a large picture window. There’s a bit of a frosted lining on part of the window, but not all. This made it really awkward when showering at night with the light on in the bathroom, as there was a tall building with windows just across the way, and people could literally see into our bathroom. Who in the world thinks this is a good design? Either frost the entire window, or put a curtain/blind over the window – it’s a bathroom! The only other complaint we had about the room was that one of the windows had a lovely blackout curtain, but the other one didn’t, and it didn’t fit the window properly – so tons of light came in. Similarly, there were massive cracks around the front door frame, letting in way more light than we preferred. ||The WiFi was complimentary, and it worked well. The breakfast was also included, and it was only mediocre. It was a massive spread of items, but it still managed to have very little substance; just some runny scrambled eggs and some potatoes made up the ‘hot’ part of the offerings. The rest of the items should be categorized as a continental breakfast, really – cold cuts of meat, cheese, fruit, pastries, and cold cereal. There were carafes of self-serve black coffee, and also some milk and juice. If you wanted anything else, you had to order it separately and pay for it. ||Overall, we were not unhappy with our stay at this hotel – but if I were in the area again in the future, I might check out the other options just to see what else there is, as I would’ve preferred a more robust breakfast, more light-blocking in the room, and a more...

I stayed for 2 nights on a recent work trip. I asked for a quiet room and was given a top floor end room with 3 double glazed windows opening to the south and to the east. Nice views of the Strait and the ski fields but also some exposure to traffic noise from 21 de Mayo- due to the leaky window seals. My other problem with the windows was that the bathroom window was only partly opaque and had no blind. People in the adjacent office block could easily see me in the bathroom. The room is small and showing signs of age- chipped and worn paint and worn fittings. No seals on the hallway doors mean you hear banging doors and everything in the hall. The power points are only European and in bad positions, hidden behind furniture. No USB outlets. There was no hand shower and no bidet in my room and the water temperature fluctuated. There was no kettle and no minibar and no airconditioner- that I could see. (Probably doesn't get very warm in summer....) Water radiators are used to control heat- are user adjustable and worked well. Blockout curtains worked well in the bedroom. I found the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room service options are limited and expensive. I didn't try the restaurant but the limited options also looked to be very expensive. Beer was about $3800 CLP for a standard glass, in the bar. Breakfast options were limited with only watery- undercooked in parts- scrambled eggs supplied. (No bacon, sausages or eggs to order.) Very average, American style...

I recently visited in December 2023 and stayed here two nights, one night before my cruise to Antarctica and one night after the cruise. The location wasn't very far from the airport. The lobby area was beautiful but the rooms were a bit outdated yet comfy. There is no AC so you have to leave the window cracked.. so when it's hot or not as cool, it's a major inconvenience. But worse than that, its the level of noise outside. If you're not a light sleeper like me youll be fine but me and several other guests were not happy about the street racing and noise all throughout the night. The ac situation and the noise are what gives it a 2, borderline 1 for me.

As far as the breakfast goes, I was very very disappointed. The eggs were literally watery. (I asked for the eggs to be scrambled well and well, you can see their definition of well done in the third pic) They don't have pancakes, they have crepes with a filling. I ordered it since it's not part of the buffet and it was not good at all.. not to mention cold. The breakfast is exactly what everyone else said in the other reviews. It's such a shame for the lobby to be so beautiful. We did find a great burger spot and pizza spot about 7 mins...

I stayed here recently for a total of 3 nights. Front desk staff were excellent throughout without exception. They had just finished a remodeling so everything looked good (mostly). The common areas and bar/restaurant were especially good and staff were all very good here as was quality of food and drinks and reasonable prices. One lady in particular (I regret I never got her name, she had gasses and reminded me of a young Michelle Bachelet - nothing to do with politics, just strong work and positive attitude). My complaint is with the breakfast. I don’t believe it is satisfactory to charge extra for a cappuccino. It’s a coffee - this would be unthinkable in Europe. The rooms are comfortable but my only issue here is where costs (and corners) have been cut with the renovation - the old bathroom doors, vents, wardrobe doors and frames have been simply repainted instead of replaced. Therefore they don’t look correct and sun-par.

This is a great place in Punta arenas and also its nearby to all activities and museums We have stayed their sister hotel in Puerta Natales and it was also pretty good and clean One point to keep in mind, they adhere to strict check in time as most guest don’t leave by 2 or later hence we got the rooms late typically most flights arrive early so keep this in mind. When it’s not busy, staff is politely provides the room promptly then Restaurant in the hotel is exceptionally good and reasonably priced We ate there most of the time and almost every dish was flavorful. One we ate often was Falafel curry ! Breakfast is pretty good given most of the tours start early you can pack and leave as leave as needed.
