Chentura — Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama

From two Canadians on a wild camping trip in northern chile: my wife and I stayed at two different hostels in San Pedro de Atacama.

The first one was all vibes for a cool ambiance with a pool and a glamping accommodation. Everything ended up looking dirty, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, upon closer inspection. Their "Glamping tent" had holes so insect would come in. We would have been more comfortable in our pyramid tent.

A few days later we ended up late at night at Quachi Chentura and we were more than pleased. It is cute, comfortable, clean and owned by the nicest family! We ended up staying an extra night since we felt at ease, welcomed and we could do our loundry for the next leg of our camping trip.

We booked the room with the private bathroom and shower located outside the room. I would recommend anyone to come and stay here.

This really feels like a business we want to support instead of a bigger place that exists for "cool vibes".

I made reservations for this hotel through Booking.com and when I arrived nobody answer the door nor answer the phone. I had to find another place. I was able to cancel the reservation without penalty at least, but to this day I don't even know what happened. Also is far away from the center, so I don't recommend it if you are...

Foi a minha primeira experiência de me hospedar em um Hostal e eu posso dizer que eu tive muita sorte. Os quartos muito limpos, impecáveis. Eu fiquei impressionada com a limpeza do local. O café da manhã com um pão local muito gostosinho, com frutinhas da época, chá, café, ovos caso você queira. Sempre presunto, queijo e salame. Para mim mais que suficiente. Quando você ia para um passeio Dona Roberta preparava como ela chama um snack. Aliás, Dona Roberta é um ser humano incrível. Uma mulher forte e doce. Eu adoeci não mediu esforços para me ajudar. Fazendo chas e também sempre preocupada. Se eu voltar ao Atacama com certeza fico novamente lá. Você pode lavar suas roupas lá, fica 5 mil pesos por lavada o que é muito prático pois você volta com suas roupas limpas e também pode levar menos peças. Experiência nota 1000.
