What a treasure in SPdA! The texture and the flavours or the baguettes will transport your palate to Paris. The coffees are strong and well flavoured. The croissants are rich and flaky. They have a selection of charcuterie that is much better than what you can find in the high end stores in Santiago and Viña. And there is no yellowing of the marbling of the meats, and the salamis are red, not faded to Grey. Our olive baguette arrived warm, fresh from the oven with agregados of avocado and pate de Campo. The avocado was flavourful and bright green. The pate was of a finer grind than I am accustomed to, but the dominant liver flavour of the pate was augmented by a significant infusion of herbs. Sabroso! We a skip the prepaid breakfasts at the hotel and start our days at Franchuteria.

Amazing pastries!!! We came here for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, we got the ham and cheese croissants along with a palmerita and mini chocolate croissant. The ham and cheese croissants were warm, flaky, and buttery. The palmerita was a little too hard for my husband, but I find many of the French style palmeras are harder. My croissant was good, just wish it had also been warmed to bring out the buttery flakiness. Coffee was good too. For dinner, we got a pizza and the salmon croissant. Excellent choices! They make a lot of baguettes, and it seems they offer specials on them during closing to get rid of them.

The bread here is no joke. I ordered the bacon quiche (but received the salmon, oh well) and the crust instantly proved itself to be homemade: flaky and soft with just the right amount of crunch. The coffee is actual coffee, so this is a plus. However, as typical, a lot of milk is added to the latte. I should have been upset about the salmon/bacon switch but the crust was so good and our waiter, Sebastian, so friendly and helpful (in terms of things to do around town) that I didn't even mention the mistake. Try the juice of the day. We chose to split one and I regret it.

I came here twice for a quick bite to eat. First time was super early in the morning before a hiking tour. I had a ham and cheese croissant and sun-dried tomato quiche. They were delicious. This cost me £6.20. I came back today before setting off to the airport. I ordered the quiche and croissant again with a coffee this time. Unfortunately I think they were struggling with the really small oven so I ended up getting the food warm on the outside and cold on the inside. The coffee, although nice, was half foam so I managed to finish that in a few gups (was meant to be a latte). Then when checking my bank afterwards I noticed that this cost me £13.87. Unfortunately I didn't notice this at the time but I was obviously overcharged. The coffee was meant to be around £3.50. It's quite an unfortunate number of small errors on their part. TL:Dr the food is great but check the food temperature, the coffee weight...

Nice place, very good atmosphere and very good products

The bread is super good, I order the ham sandwich and the bread alone and they are very good, all natural and good ingredients

The croissant is good, taste a little like burnt butter witch I liked. the franbuesa jam is a bit too over sweet for my taste. Can use less sugar

Unfortunately, the coffee is very bad, as all the coffee I had in San Pedro. The ham sandwich have a sauce that taste bad industrialized and takes a lot of the flavor of the good natural ingredients they use. It really takes out the true shine of the sandwich.

Price is high but the ingredients are good, so totally worth it

Would return for the breads, croissant or the ham sandwich (please order...
