The hotel is in an excellent location- 2 mins walk from the main street with all the restaurants, shops and tour agencies. We were so glad with this easy access to everything!|The staff was friendly and accommodating. Previous reviews mentioned the difficulties with adjusting the hot/cold water in the shower- we had the same problem - mentioned it to reception - and the chap said it was due to the water pressure- went and adjusted it and it was rectified to our relief!|We were happy with the breakfast and for the mornings we had to leave early for tours, they offered to make us breakfast boxes to take away.|We couldn't but would liked to have been able to make coffee/tea whenever we wanted but the staff was happy to turn on the hotel water urn in the breakfast room when asked when we wanted to have a.cup of tea, which was appreciated.|Not the hotel's fault and maybe it was because we were there during the public holidays to celebrate Chile's Independence Day - but there is a bar/pub near enough to the hotel such that it's loud music will definitely be an issue for those sensitive to night noise. In fact, for our last night there, our window was rattling slightly from the loud bass beats from the bar!!! |If I were to go to San Pedro again, I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again- maybe asking for a room at the far end - as far away from the reception as possible, which might reduce the noise...
Read moreWe were booked in to La Cochera at short notice by our age net after a mix up with the booking for our intended hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful.|Our room was shabby but clean. It was ruined for us by having a double bed and 2 single beds crammed in to a small room. This meant everything was very cramped. The lighting was poor so it was hard to see in our cases which we could not unpack due to lack of space or anywhere, except a small hanging area to put our clothes.|The bathroom was also cramped with a small shower that ran unpredictably hot and cold - most unpleasant mid shower. The curtain overhung the shower tray making it very hard not to flood the bathroom.|The room was very stuffy and hot but there was a fan. There were only electrical points both high up making phone charging difficult.|The breakfast was quite good.|It may be worth asking for a room with...
Read moreWe stayed at La Cochera 5 nights. It is comfortable and clean. The rooms have space for two suitcases and still room to walk around. There is a small pool and pool deck with chairs. The chair cushions look old and lumpy, but are surprisingly comfortable. The staff is friendly. We got a simple continental breakfast each morning. ||The staff does not go out of their way to help. They will answer questions patiently but will not help with reservations or solving problems. ||The location is fantastic- a very short walk to the Main Street yet offset enough to be quiet at night. ||While one might expect more for the price, everything in Atacama is way more expensive. This hotel is a very...
