Hotel Hispano — Hotel in Viña del Mar

I stayed at the Hotel Hispano for 7 weeks during the busy summer of 2016. I had stayed at Hotel Hispano two times in the past, and my experience was fine. But now the hotel has new owners who have transformed the hotel into a terrific place to stay in Vina del Mar. |The rooms are bright and comfortable, the lobby area is a nice place to rest and talk, and the new cafe is conveniently located and serves a variety of excellent coffee, other beverages, and pastries. I recently stayed four nights at Hotel Hispano while visiting the Vina del Mar area. I chose it for location and price, and was glad I did. It is very conveniently located, a block from the Vina del Mar Metro station and only a few blocks from the primary bus station for long-distance buses. Since it is a block off a main street, it was relatively quiet for a downtown location. The propietors are very friendly and helpful, the small cafe on the premises has coffee, pastries, sandwiches, beer, wine and soft drinks. Sweet little hotel in a good location. Lovely church opposite with bells ringing the time. I like that tho maybe not everyone will. The best feature is the staff. So helpful and friendly. Sebastian greeted me on arrival and was just lovely. My room is light but i noticed some are dark without a main window. There are some shabby areas which need attention. A stain on my bedroom ceiling and the paintwork is chipped. But plenty of hot water and very clean - very important plus a comfortable bed. Breakfast is reasonable with bread and rolls to toast, ham and cheese as well as jam and dulce de ledge. Some fruit is also on offer. There's a nice little coffee shop...
