Not a hotel I'd ever choose to stay in, but the decision was out of my hands. Stayed a fair number of days and tried out a number of different rooms.||||Location is quite good as you're within walking distance to Sanlitun (about a 15-20minute walk - not so great in the winter), but with the way traffic can be in Beijing, you may well get to Sanlitun on foot before you get there in a cab.||||The double rooms are a good size, tried out a couple of suites of different configurations - the first one was good but it faced the back of the hotel, but at least that was quiet. Front-facing rooms will have you facing the Australian embassy on Dongzhimen Road, which can get very clogged up with traffic and a bit noisy.||||Room cleaning service is half-hearted at best - the rooms could get pretty filthy.||||Breakfast was a groundhog day of awfulness. After the buffet ends at 10am, the wait and kitchen staff come out to pile their plates and eat the dregs. It's a bit off-putting. ||||The hotel is stacked with "Art" ... from European oil paintings to Contemporary Chinese - some are encased in perspex to protect it from the public, but there's no sense of any kind of theme or system. And the lighting is so bad in the hallsways that they don't do any of the better ones any justice. It's a mish mash of trashy stuff.||||The hotel has a confusing range of names - sometimes it's called the Aojia Fandian, AC Embassy Hotel and then the AC Art Museum Hotel. Cab drivers never know what you're referring to, so it helps to tell them that it's the hotel across from the Australian embassy (in Chinese).||||Also, it's a straight road down to the Nanluoguxiang/Drum Tower hutong area so that's a bonus.||||Next door is some kind of nightclub, so weekend nights, the road to the hotel becomes impassable as the road gets filled with luxury cars with a range of dodgy...

She deserves 5 stars, wish I could remember her name.|The room, however, was very outdated, pretty small, I could hear the traffic from the street all night, and the bed was quite uncomfortable, plus only had 2 pillows, which for a king bed I found to be strange. The bathroom however was nice, very spacious and great shower.|Don’t bother paying for breakfast, it is low quality and didn’t taste fresh. I like both Chinese and Western style breakfast but it wasn’t good on either front. There are a few places to eat in the area which are better.|The hotel is fairly well located 15-20 minute walk between 2 malls and near to the bus station if you plan to visit the Great Wall. It’s also in between 2 subway stations but feels quite far to both in comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Beijing.|Good value for 1 night stay, but for longer I’d choose...
