China Bar — Restaurant in Beijing

They have a reasonable sparkling wine which they refused to serve at the bar on the grounds it is only for members and so I went up to the China Grill to buy as it was on the wine list and they had no problems selling and bringing it down to the bar. Extra points to China Grill and points off to China Bar for being the usual pedantic bar staff in China. Why make it hard to sell alcohol… Otherwise the band was great and played later than expected. Also they screwed up the espresso martini and we had to pour our own...

Spent a night at the bar .. if you like spending your night between people smoking, throwing up on the carpet and hookers, the place is lovely. If you like hotel bars and Park Hyatt bars on the other hand, never even visit this place, it’s awful. The locals smoke even if it’s forbidden, but they won’t bring an ashtray, instead they recommend you smoke in the bathrooms. Seemed more like a second tier nightclub in the suburbs than a Park Hyatt.....

For a park Hyatt n high floor, u think it would be posh grand or at least high ceiling. It’s not:-
