Qianmen Courtyard Hotel — Hotel in Beijing

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel located right in the heart of Beijing, in the Qianmen area. The location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk to the metro station and within walking distance to several bus stops. It's very convenient for travelers wanting to explore nearby attractions.The hotel has an old-style charm and is exactly as shown in the photos—full of atmosphere and character. I stayed in a single room with a window (though there’s no real view, just the rooftops of nearby hutongs from the second floor). I appreciated that the room had a private bathroom. It's basic, but the shower had hot water (note: the sink does not). The room was equipped with both AC and a heater, which shows they care about guest comfort.The bed sheets and towels were not new, but very clean. The 24-hour reception is a big plus, especially for travelers arriving at odd hours. The girl at the front desk was helpful and attentive.Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet—I couldn’t hear my neighbors or any noise from the street.Overall, I had a nice and comfortable stay. Este hotel es una estafa cuando pagas con tarjeta de crédito. Te dicen que pagas en moneda local y es mentira, pagas en tu moneda extranjera, en mi caso euros. Tengo el ticket del pago y aparece una marca en euros. Ellos te dicen que no le haga caso a eso y que he pagado en yuanes. Ahora estoy en Shanghai y ningún problema con el pago. He usado la tarjeta bnext y revolut, las cuales evitan comisiones, pero este hotel te cobra en euros porque ellos quieren, un 13% más caro, en mi caso pagué 38 euros más, 300 cny. Encima el responsable me dice que no es su problema, que ellos hacen el cobro bien. Si os interesa este hotel pagarlo en metálico. Valoro negativamente este hotel por ese motivo, el pago real era 292 euros y pagué 330 euros. La comisión no fue del banco, sino de ellos, beneficiándose mucho más. Por algun motivo les interesa que el cliente pague sólo en metálico y cuando quieres pagar con tarjeta te estafan. No recomiendo este hotel por este motivo, ya que encima me trataban de mentiroso. Stayed for a night dated 12Jan. Receptionist forgotten to handover the Room key yet next morning asking it from us. Bedroom lightings are dark due to red shades used. Toilet basin cracked tiles.
