The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location—just a 2-minute walk to Dafo Temple and about 5 minutes to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. Very convenient for sightseeing and shopping. Hotel allowed us to check out at 1pm and luggages are allowed to placed at the reception area but at own risk as the hotel staff did not check the guests that take the luggages. Hotel provides toiletries, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, room slipper and towels which is good. However, several major issues made the stay uncomfortable: • Lobby access is inconvenient: The hotel lobby is located on Level 6, and the only access is via a small lift from Level 1. We had to wait around 15 minutes for the lift one night when returning. Very frustrating. • Room design is poor and lacks privacy: The room is very small, and the bathroom has only partial privacy. A curtain covers the glass partition near the bed, but if someone is at the basin, they can still see into the shower and toilet area. This setup is not ideal for friends or non-couples sharing a room. • Unhelpful staff: The lobby staff were not friendly and gave us two rooms on different floors, despite our booking being under the same reservation. The reason they gave us only one room at each level for our room type. Lobby staff asked me to pass them my phone for them to write review on my behalf which I didn’t allow them to do so during check out time. The staff asked me twice and a bit like threaten me that I need to give good review as they allowed me to check out at 1pm. Totally not satisfied with their service. Now i understand why so many good reviews in trip.com as all are written by hotel staff. • Inconvenient access card policy: Only one access card per room is provided. Since the lift requires the card for access, both guests must go in and out together—a major inconvenience if you’re not on the same schedule. Overall, while the location is excellent, the lack of privacy, unfriendly service. I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re traveling solo and prioritize location above all else.(Picture was taken when I stand at the...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel in 2 different times , first was from 12/12 to 14/12 and the second from 22/12 to 23/12 . The hotel is inside a building , the reception is in the 6th floor and the rooms are in the 5th and 4th floor . The rooms on the 5th floor , in my opinion , are nicer . Location is good and convenience , it is at 200 mts away from guangzhou metro and 300mts from downtown and even closer to Beijing road where you can find lots of shops and restaurantes with different food offers .|We tried one Corean restaurante reccomended by one of the girls at the hotel and it was great . Going back to the rooms , they are all smart rooms, do not expect the rooms to have great views from the city 'cause they dont , but they are ok , beds are comfortable and pillows too , but we think , that in our first stay the bed sheets were not changed and we found some dirtyness underneath the bed . Bathroom is nice with a big shower tray and very hot water , i loved this . The hotel is run by mostly young people , they are all very nice , sometimes english was an issue but it was ok . They serve breakfast at the reception everyday from 7am to 11 am if i well remember , they have nice coffee , some cereals, noodles , rice , some soups , fruits , dimsums , buns , youghurt , etc. At night time for dinner you can also have a little snack at the reception . |In our opinion the hotel welcomes everybody , it is a good value, the price was around 50 € per night for 2 people . Maybe they have things to improve but they in the right way to do it...
Read moreWe had a fantastic stay at CityNote Hotel (Beijing Road Dafosi Park Metro Station)!
Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We booked the Cozy Queen Room and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was — there was even a sofa and a little seating area where we could comfortably have our meals.
The room was spotless, and housekeeping came by daily to top up amenities. Even on days we opted out of cleaning, they would still check in to see if we needed extra water or toilet paper — a thoughtful touch!
The location is unbeatable — right next to Da Fo Si and Beijing Road, with a mall just beside the hotel. Super convenient for food, shopping, and transport.
Breakfast was included and the lobby area was a great place to relax. The price was very reasonable for the level of service and comfort we received. Check-out was just as smooth, and the front desk even asked if I needed more water before leaving — small details that go a long way!
Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely...
