Chose this hotel because the event I attended was held at the same venue. If I had a choice, I might go for another marriott property near by - i.e., Sheraton...||Main issue - the language... staff barely speaks English. |I checked in around 12:30pm, my room was not ready and I was ok to wait. They offered me to wait at the exec lounge saying the room would be ready in 15 min and they would let me know... ||The exec lounge attendant could not care less about my presence there nor anyine from the reception let her know I was waiting there for my room... After 1 hour when I checked with the lady, she realized I was not just killing my time there but waiting for the room...||When I went to have a buffet lunch (15 min before the restaurant closure), a staff at the counter was not even able to tell me the price. She was pointing to teh banner for the price of the... dinner! I showed her my key holder with a room number (1605) and even I had enough deposit on the account, she told me to go to the reception because she saw there was no deposit... (?!?!?!?)... No sense to remind you they could not communicate in english at all...||The spa was OK but again they refused to post to room account becasue I didn't have enough (200CNY only!!!) deposit... teh therapist was very good and I liked the treatment but they way how they handled the payment and deposits, made me upset...||I have to mention a nice touch from Housekeeping team - I had a laptop on my desk and they brought a mousepad so I could use my mouse with a comfort.They also left a note but it was in Chinese so I cannot tell what was there...|| At some point, I wanted to talk to a Manager on Duty... and I got a front office person because the MOD on that day was a secutiry manager who was not able to speak any English... He didn't even bother to show his face to a customer who demanded to talk to him...||The exec lounge (22nd floor?) requires more attentive staff... I left a list of points to the person who went to talk to me on behalf of MOD and even showed him what exactly was missing... I have to admit he was professional and admitted I was right with all...
