Timmy Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

🚽 I know some want to find out: REST ASSURED YOU WON'T SEE EACH OTHER USING THE TOILET. THE GLASS IS VERY BLURRY!กระจกห้องน้ำขุ่นมาก คนข้างนอกมองไม่เห็นเวลาเข้าห้องน้ำค่า สบายใจได้ ☺️Great place to stay in Guangzhou! Located just at the heart of Tianhe shopping district, this hotel offered a very affordable price and a decent stay. I might consider to book it again if I had a second chance to go to Guangzhou. At first, as a group of friends, we were a bit concerned if the toilet design would have been too exposed (noise, smell, and visionary) after looking at the room's pictures. But It's far better than the picture! You can't see each other behind the glass (like some hotels), the smell didn't get out, but there could be some sound out. Overall it's really acceptable. The location is GOLD. You can walk to the famous Grandview Mall in less than 10 minutes as well as the cafe/dessert area of Tiyu Xilu behind the mall. Actually the malls near hotel, One Link & Shishang Tianhe, have a lot of great restaurants too. And it's near Guangzhou East Railway Station where you can travel to other cities, though there is not as many routes and trains as at South Station. More for the room and cleanliness:- Smaller than I expected, but still not too cramp for three people. - The building is a bit old and seems like it's in the same building with local/permanent residents.- safety is so-so. There's 2-3 securities I saw. - you can order the delivery and riders can deliver it to you right in front of your door.- no dust and the cleaning was okay- the building is a bit old, so as the room's light - but overall not bad. Very acceptableA big plus is the reception's hospitality!- they offered free bottled water every day. And you can ask for more at the reception. They are not strict. - they helped us reheat our takeaway food, using the staff's microwave....

Hotel is just above one of the exits of Shipai metro station and several malls are around the vicinity. However, one needs to go to the back of the building after exit, in order to gain access to the lift that brings you to the hotel lobby at level 7, and there aren't signages around, so took quite a while to find.Cleanliness is acceptable, but the design of the hotel room is kind of strange: the room is very small, and there is no place to really sit or place youe luggage, exceot for that raised space in front of the bed by the windows, and bed was at a corner of the room, so for whoever that sleeps at the inner side, you will need to climb up and down that same raise space everytime you get on and off the bed.The toilet and shower are separate units but partitioned. They are separated from the room by clear glass panels with opaque overlay in the middle sections, so people on the outside won't be able to see what you do inside. If you are still uncomfortable with that, it's best to book for a double bed room, because some of their double bed rooms have better toilet doors/ glass that doesn't expose that much. Shower space is considered slightly spacious (in comparison with other hotels I had stayed before), but the toilet is very narrow. For a small-size guy like me, my knee was almost touching the glass door whwn I sit on the toilet bowl.Staff service is...

Overall a wonderful stay. Perfect location and great price!

The location is absolutely exceptional - This hotel is super close to exit D of Shipaiqiao station (just a 1 minute walk) and also near various shopping centers like Shishang Tianhe, Grandview Mall, Teemall, Parc Central, etc. Given its proximity to Shipaiqiao station, you can travel to/from the hotel by metro.

How to find the hotel: From exit D of Shipaiqiao station, turn to your left and walk straight for a short distance; when you reach the first intersection, turn left again and then walk straight until reaching the main entrance - a glass door facing a school yard (375 Tianhe Road); finally, take the elevator to the hotel lobby, located on the 7th floor of the building.

The room, although quite small, didn’t feel stuffy at all. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was some noise coming from the room above but wasn’t a big deal.

In general, it’s a great hotel with a good price considering such an advantageous location - much cheaper than the other hotels nearby....
