J hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

Advertised as three stars, it falls well short.||Front fesk: Reasonable enough service albeit exceptionally long to place us into non smoking room (that means it is smoking, as evedenced from uncleaned ashtray and heavy odour). Changed room that appeared reasonable with the promise of extended time without moving....which didn't happen because it's China.||The first room upon entry, the front door handle fell off. Besides missing one of three glass frames on the shower enclosure, and the shower head that pops out of its holder when you turn the shower off (struck my wife forcefully), the rest of the room was acceptable as three star.||Because they couldn't/wouldn't fix the shower issues (they claimed that some of these are purely design variations), we moved again to a better overall functional room.... Pity there is no wifi. The maintance guy took one look and said he can't fix it, try using another rooms wifi. He said he is not qualified to look at the router.... Some maintance!||The food is typical poor quality for these types of places.||We were invited to a two week workshop with theocals footing the bill, so getting all wired up or leaving was not an option.||In summary, this place is simply a large scale version of a 7 day inn (at about two to three times the price). For that kind of coin, try...

It was a surprise pick. We wanted a night stay before we go check-into Chime long resort. But was surprised by the pic, really large rooms and quite clean rooms / bed / bathroom. Neatly maintained corridors and staff was quite cordial. We wanted milk for our toddler, though they had bit of language difficulty they manage to get us milk during that odd hour. ||||Agoda package had breakfast and they had a decent spread (not big though) ||||The location is odd because, there is no transport facility nearby. Nearest metro is almost 1km far and with a toddler it was not a great option to walk. But the reception helped us get a good taxi to reach our destination. ||||But for the location, I would recommend this option...

I had been to guangzhou for Canton Fair in The Month Of October 2014 , ||Hotel is very Good and Rooms are neat and clean !!! ||the Reception staff were so helpful and they even had English Translator available 24Hrs , which helped us a lot because Not many know English and we dint know chinese , ||and food Was Also problem , ||we being from india found little bit problem for Food , ||There is no Indian Hotel nearby , ||Otherwise J Hotel is a very Good business Hotel !!! ||with very good...
