Diandude Hexinglou offers a nostalgic dining experience with its charming 80s-inspired decor that sets a pleasant ambience. We dined in a private room, and the service was attentive, ensuring our needs were well taken care of. The food, however, was a mixed bag. Having cut back on salt and sugar in our home country, we found the dishes overly salty for our taste. The porridge stood out as the highlight—smooth and comforting. The seafood was average, neither memorable nor disappointing. Unfortunately, the dim sum, such as the Shao Mai and Har Gao, fell short with skins that were far too thick, compromising the overall texture. Great location, observed quite a few diners having travel luggage with them, likely enjoying a quick bite before taking high speed train at nearby Guangzhou East train station. Lots of tables, could serve many diners at the same time. Love the food, settings and look forward to next visit. My wife and I spent 273 yuan on 8 dishes, around US $40 total...
