By looking at the price of the food, everybody would expect a nice fine dining restaurant with delicious food and great service. However, it was not what we experienced at this restaurant.
At first, we ordered spare pork ribs, but the waitress didnt key in to the list. When we requested to switch one of our ordered dishes to what we had ordered (we ordered 6 dishes, so we didnt want to order too much), the waitress claimed that once the food had been entered, then it cant be cancelled. So we had to opt out the spare pork ribs. But in the middle of our dinner, we added on that pork spare ribs, though it took so long for the food to be prepared till we had finished our dinner. Again, even after we had finished the dinner, pork spare ribs hadnt been served. Since it cant be cancelled, we still waited for it.
One thing that was unacceptable and so rude was the waitress cleaned up of our glasses and other cutleries while we were still waiting for the pork ribs. When we said that we were still waiting for our last dish and requested the waitress to give us the new glasses, she gave us back the dirty glasses that had been cleaned up. We were shocked to get used glasses on our table, even the waitress claimed that glasses were ours. Of course, we requested to get the new ones instead.
At this point, i think it is very rude and unacceptable for the service provided. I demanded to talk to their manager and asked her to cancel our last order that never showed up.
With the pricey food at great location, i have to say that it was not worth it at all to dine in this restaurant. The food was just so so with unmannered and unprofessional waitress. I do not recommend at all especially for the foreigners whom barely...

Guangzhou Hotel is a local favourite for Yumcha that withstands the test of time. A good range of dishes safeguarding the grand Cantonese traditions before any innovative touch kicks in. These traditions also extend to its decor, service style and tea ceremonies.
Price is not that much higher than the norm in GZ but surely lives up the quality. If you like a traditional yumcha, friendly environment at the heart of Tianhe, this is a good choice.

Read moreThe restaurant is very close to the shopping area and there are lots of markets around the area. I've read many reviews and this restaurant is suppose to be very popular. It was busy. We came at 6.30pm and it was already full. The wenchang chicken is popular here. It's basically steamed chicken with white sauce. It wasn't very tasty, more like a little salty. We ordered the wc chicken, bbq pork and fried rice. The food was just okay. The fried rice took forever to come out so we started eating the dish before they got too cold. We asked about the fried rice again and yhe waitress said okok. Another 20mins went by and we decided to just close the bill and cancell the rice. The bill came to...
