During my recent trip to Hangzhou, I had the pleasure of staying at Haoyi Hotel located on Southern Song Imperial Street. The hotel's prime location made it incredibly convenient to explore the city's historic sites and vibrant shopping areas.Location & Accessibility:The hotel is just a short walk from Ding'an Road Metro Station (Line 1), which made commuting around the city effortless. Being situated on Southern Song Imperial Street meant that I was surrounded by charming shops, local eateries, and cultural landmarks. The West Lake scenic area was also within walking distance, allowing for leisurely strolls by the lake.Room & Amenities:My room was clean and well-maintained, albeit a bit compact. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. I appreciated the hotel's attention to detail, such as providing a coffee machine and a water dispenser with adjustable temperature settings in the reception area .Service:The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. I was particularly impressed by their promptness in addressing any requests. The hotel's use of a robot for delivering items like toiletries was a unique and efficient touch .Dining:While the hotel offers a breakfast option at an affordable price, it's worth noting that the selection is primarily Chinese cuisine. However, given the hotel's central location, there are numerous cafes and restaurants nearby offering a variety of options .Final Thoughts:Haoyi Hotel provided a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Hangzhou. Its central location, coupled with attentive service and clean accommodations, made for an enjoyable stay. I would recommend it to travelers seeking a well-situated hotel with...

They were always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with any request, from directions to booking taxis. Their ability to speak English well was a plus and made communication smooth and effortless. And as a final, lovely touch, I was given a small gift at the end of our stay. It was such a thoughtful gesture that perfectly encapsulated the hotel's attentive and welcoming atmosphere.A special mention must go to the TV system! Unlike so many other hotels in China where operating the TV feels like programming a spacecraft, this one was refreshingly simple and straightforward. It was a small but very appreciated detail.I would not hesitate to recommend the Haoyi Hotel to anyone visiting Hangzhou and I will definitely be staying here again on...
Read moreI have had business trips to Hangzhou and have stayed in local hotels many times, so I have something to compare it to. This hotel doesn't live up to its four-star rating; I see a lot of glowing reviews from foreigners, maybe they don't know how excellent and affordable hotels in China can be. This time, my husband and I came for the weekend, and of course, we chose this hotel because of the location, to explore on foot. Upon check-in, the staff offered to upgrade the room for free, we were upgraded to a room with a window. It would be better if they didn't. Because that window faces the parking lot, and we couldn't sleep all night. Cars honked on the left right under the window (our room was on the first floor), tourists were yelling in the corridor on the right. As a result, my husband missed breakfast. By the way, about breakfast, the staff was very surprised when I came to the reception and asked where breakfast was served, they scanned the card and confirmed that we had two breakfasts paid for. During check-in, they didn't give us any vouchers for food or provide any information. I recommend not choosing a hotel in a tourist location and spending 10-15min taxi ride across the Qiantan River where there is a wide selection of hotels with lower prices and better conditions. The only good thing about this hotel was that the staff was very pleasant...
