Agoda doesn't allow me to write this review, I think this is not fair for the consumer when making selection if they only see the good review but not the whole
The booking was made through Agoda for a 3 nights stay, I've checked in around 2ish today, the room type I've reserved is a Standard Double Room which is around 118sqft, however, when I get in the room, the room was so tiny and therefore I call the counter to check, is there any mistakes? Why the room is not match with the picture and description on Agoda and it doesn't seems has 118sqft, then the staff replied it's the right room type but the size provided by management is around 80sqft not 118sqft, I said it's a big difference from what I understand from Agoda website, he said I don't know why, then hang off the call without a proper goodbye... I have no choice but contact Agoda and let them know what happened and would like to get the refund for the booking, after Agoda contact the Inn, the answer is no, cannot refund but will change a bigger room for me.
So, I swap to other room, when I step in the room, yes, the room is bigger but it has a strong smoke smell (HK has ban indoor smoking), also, the room is so dark with only one light under the emergency sign, furthermore, the ceiling is all molded, as well as the toilet, the mold is on the wall and basin. Mold is bad for health, and I really don't understand why this kind of room can rent out to customer?1
I called Agoda again, I said they have allocated another room for me but I have to say the room condition is not fit for stay as it's full of mold, I said I understand the Inn is saying cannot cancel and so, can you please discuss with them, I will stay one night and get the rest two nights refund? They are still trying to contact the Inn but no reply after an hour pass.. So, I have go to the counter and repeat my request, then the feedback from the receptionist is "we are an Inn only, what do you expect...".
I said i am not paying an inn's charges but expecting a 5 stars hotel standard , but mold is harmful to health, neat and clean enviorment is a minimum standard no matter inn or hotel, right? Then he said, we will feedback and then stop talking to me, pretending working on something else, I have no choice but go back to room.
The intercom in the room is not working too, the reason I am using it because i found there is no hot water from the tap/shower, then I used my mobile to call, someone answer and said will check, now 30 mins pass and still no hot water supply...
I will NOT recommend this inn as the condition and the staff attitude is really...

Booked a room for 2 adults staying for 5 nights.
The small size of the room was expected, and that’s perfectly fine. However, the condition of the room was beyond disappointing. The wallpaper was torn and peeling, the ceiling showed visible signs of neglect, and the floors were so worn out they looked like they might crumble underfoot. The furniture felt aged and unkempt, adding to the overall sense of decay. The atmosphere of the room was unsettling, with a dim and dreary ambiance that made it feel more like an abandoned space than a welcoming accommodation. If you were to have a nightmare in your sleep, waking up wouldn’t bring relief—it would simply deliver you into another nightmare: this stay.
It still shocks me that they had the audacity to request a 500HKD deposit for damages, despite offering such a damaged and worn-out room.
The toilet was terrible as well. It emitted an indescribably strange and nasty smell that made the space almost unbearable. The walls were filthy, in a condition so poor that no standard cleaning service could likely fix them. The water pressure from the shower was depressing. The pressure was so low, it felt like the showerhead was apologizing for even trying. The only commendable thing about the toilet was that the showers hot water was actually hot.
Could not take it anymore after the 3rd night and we checked out early and booked another hotel. Whilst checking out the staff mentioned that they could not refund me the remaining 2 nights for checking out early and that is perfectly FINE. You can rob me of my money, but you absolutely cannot rob my...
Read moreA friend of mine and I have been travelling for two months now, staying in hotels and hostels and this is the first time we’ve run into a nightmare like this. First we booked a room at another Homy Inn in Hong Kong and once we arrived there after a long day of travel they told us all their rooms were full despite a successful booking (It’s three days later and they still have our money held). ||||We decided to go to Homy Inn North Point instead so we booked online and then went there. Upon getting there they had us booked for two double rooms when there was only two of us and we just needed one room. We explained there must have been a mistake through the booking and that we only needed one room but they told us we’d have to pay the cancellation fee which is the price of the room anyway. While we asked further questions and asked for some understanding the young guy speaking with us became VERY rude to us, treating us like trash and back talking everything we said! He also would not contact booking.com to figure anything out. We called booking.com to get some help and they gave us NO help at all. When we went back to the front desk to try and figure things out we ended up dealing with the same guy again and his English wasn’t all that good so we asked to speak to someone else but he refused to redirect us being even more rude than the last time we interracted. ||||Some cherries on top of the cake are mould in the bathroom! Very dirty walls! And stinky hallways! Don’t waste your time or money with booking.com or...
