I tried the egg rolls five years ago and I was really impressed. I went to queue for the egg rolls three weeks ago and I thought it’s a bit over rated now. (It’s still good but does it worth queueing for 90mins? I don’t think so, can live with those average egg rolls )

They used to receive Pre-order but no longer has that in practice. I was told that limited daily stock will be opened to public from 9am but it’s recommended to call them a day earlier.

When I reach the place at 8.30 ( they open at 9). The queue was already ten shop lots away! While I was contemplating if I should walk away, I see that the line behind me started to build up again. It’s really popular that’s all I can say.

By the way I have seen a lot of advertisement on Facebook selling the egg rolls from this shop. Worth sharing that those are likely to be a scam. Please be careful. The owner did an interview claiming that they do not sell their egg rolls through any online platform such as Facebook....

Please don’t support this business. Today I snapped a quick photo of this shop when I passed by because (1) there isn’t a no-photography sign; (2) it’s rare to see traditional egg rolls shops these days and I thought it was interesting. A man (likely the owner) ran out and accused me of illegally taking a photo of him. I quickly apologized and proceeded to delete the photo in front of his eyes, while he continued to aggressively cuss me out on the street. Sure, you don’t like having your photo taken, but that’s no excuse to act so aggressively towards a potential customer AND young woman (I was genuinely scared), especially when I had already apologized. When I expressed my displeasure, he called me “insane” and “mentally unstable” in Cantonese....

The line for buying the egg roll always long. You need to gi there 9:30am to 10:00am and line up, each person restrict to buying 2×2lb $400 or 4×1lb $400 total. There are 3 flavors to choose from . Original flavor is the best, for me that is. Coconut and pure egg also OK.

By 10:30 am all egg rolls are sold.

If the line have 10 to 15 people in front of you, the waiting time usually 15 minutes.

Don't even think you go there during or after it rain in the morning to avoid lining up. Many people also think this way and the line get even longer. You also need to wait under your...

We came on a day where they weren't selling egg rolls but the lady boss was so kind to sell us a tin. Looking at the reviews, it seems the queues are pretty nuts and they're sold out pretty quickly. I get it, the texture of the egg rolls are unlike the machine made ones and it's very flakey and light. Incredible, only gripe is that it's a little sweet for my liking. Thankful that the lady boss made an exception to sell us a tin each to my friend and I :) while it's not exactly cheap, I hope this place survives :)
