The ambience at 247 Fitness North Point’s second branch is genuinely a strong point. The gym is modern, clean, and well-organized, making it a pleasant place to work out. The decor strikes a balance between energetic and comfortable, which helps motivate members while also making the space feel welcoming.
One notable downside is that the gym can get quite full, especially during peak hours. This means you might sometimes have to wait for certain machines or adjust your workout routine based on availability. For those who prefer a quieter environment, it’s best to visit during off-peak hours, though the gym’s popularity is a testament to its quality.
Machine variety at this branch is impressive. Whether you’re focusing on strength, cardio, or functional training, you’ll find a wide range of equipment to suit most workout needs. This makes it suitable for both beginners and advanced gym-goers.
However, not all machines are used equally. For example, the decline chest press machine feels somewhat redundant and doesn’t see much use compared to other equipment. On the other hand, the bicep curl machine being relocated upstairs would make more sense with the other upper body machines, freeing up space in the "leg area". Instead of the less-utilized decline chest press, the gym could consider adding a seated leg curl variation, which would be more benificial since bending at the hip lengthening the hamstring which is generally considered ideal for hypertrophy than the lying variation.
The gym’s music selection is well-curated and helps keep energy up without being intrusive or distracting. Lighting is another highlight — it’s bright enough to keep the space lively but not harsh, creating a motivating environment for workouts at any time of day.
