The curry here is very good. It's definitely not the best i've ever had. To be fair I have eaten more curries than most as it is one of my favorite foods. That being said the taste was very good and the cutlet was cooked and then charged a little bit. Is very nice combination of flavors. If you put that together with the atmosphere it is a wonderful experience. It is extremely well priced. You get a very large curry and cutlet. This place fuel up your crave for food from an old Japanese restaurant and the dishes worth every penny. Ell rice - good price for the portion. The eel is those preserved / pre cooked ones but in higher tier - fat and meaty. The rice coming with it goes so right with the eel. Soup coming the with rice played very well as a sidekick. Tucked away in the older area of Hung Hom, Mikawaya offers incredible value for its wide selection of Japanese favourites. I had an eel rice bowl for $88 at lunch and I was so full.
