North Viet Pho — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Good, friendly, and fast service. Food was okay.

We ordered Pork chop rice: $55HKD, well seasoned pork chops (2), fried a little dry though. Fied Vietnamese sausage pho: $48HKD, sausage was very good and cooked nicely. Pho was okay. The broth was not my favourite because the various spices overshadowed the beefiness. Spring rolls: very tasty when eaten with the lettuce leaves it came with, spices were well balanced, fried perfectly. A little overpriced for Hong Kong (cost as much as our dinners, as you can see...), when ordered from the dinner menu, $48HKD for 2 pieces cut into "4 pieces" as advertised. Vietnamese coffee: very disappointingly thin. I don't think they even used dark roast, and definitely not...

It is just a common chain restaurant for Vietnamese dishes. Ordered a single meal set with add-on of vegetables. The shrimp paste is quite mild and does not have much flavor when stir fry with the vegetables. The Vietnamese shaking beef with tomato rice is just normal, as the rice is quite cool, and the beef is quite tough, although the beef flavor is strong. With the affordable price, the food was good. I had Ketchup beef brisket pho, with red bean fleecy. We went there during the Chinese New Year, many shops were closed, glad that it's open, though there was 10% service charge during CNY period, it's understandable and we are totally fine with it.
