國際酒店 Hotel Grande — Hotel in Santo António

Budget hotel that is clean and in great location. Plenty of buses nearby. BUT it is on one of the oldest roads in Macau and there is construction near the hotel constantly. And nearby bus stops can close without notice so I had to walk back 2 stops sometimes- not great with heavy luggage. Check in fast but clinical. Even though I was a solo traveller and not from a rowdy tour group, and I was the only one in the lobby at the time, staff never greeted me and just continued talking in their casual conversation, then asked for passport to do check in. (not the 2 guys in the photo, they were alright.) jFront desk staff can be overwhelmed with the demanding large tour groups from rowdy China tourists. Wouldn’t mind staying again but honestly, there are nicer hotels at similar price point, just nothing exceptional during my stay of 2 nights ....

Could have been a perfect hotel not for their lacking in amenities in the room. No proper towels. They just provide disposal towels. I had checked with the reception staff at the counter and he just told me if i needed extra i can just call them. But they don’t understand the feeling is different between proper towels vs disposable towels for guess. No floor mat. No disposal sleeper. No soup provided to wash hand, i had to take from the shower. No teabags. The room is clean and nice, neat and new. As the room is covered with marble flooring including the walls and outside walkways it gives a very clean feel. It was a pleasant experience at the Grande Hotel Macau, which was an iconic hotel in Macau, they reopened again with the descent constructed. This hotel is located on Avenida De Almeida Ribeiro Street. Which is just near to the famous port Ponte 16. Also, the area is near the downtown.The area where the hotel is situated is quiet during the nighttime, so people can enjoy their quiet time. The service of the hotel was very efficient and quick. The room is small but enough for a 1-2 business day trip. The only con is that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant or some other facilities such as a spa or fitness room. However, a clean and tidy and very well-organized hotel with a good price-quality ratio is enough reason for me to stay here. Looking forward to the...
