Hotel Lisboa Macau – Classic Charm with Warm Hospitality
I stayed at Hotel Lisboa Macau on January 4, 2025, and it was a truly nostalgic and comfortable experience. This hotel felt like stepping into a classic Hong Kong movie from my childhood. It has been around for decades—probably as long as my father! But that doesn’t take away from the experience of staying here in Macau.
Timeless Elegance & Retro Atmosphere
The interior design takes you back to the golden era of Hong Kong’s casino films. While the hotel might feel smaller compared to modern establishments, the attention to detail and upkeep is excellent. Every corner of the hotel preserves its nostalgic charm, making it a unique and memorable stay.
Exceptional Service – Like a Casino Boss!
One of the highlights of Hotel Lisboa is its top-notch hospitality. The staff treats you like a VIP, delivering warm and professional service that makes you feel like a true casino mogul.
Comfortable & Well-Maintained Rooms
The rooms are just the right size, and while the furniture reflects the hotel’s age, everything is well-maintained and fully functional. The bed is very comfortable, but my favorite part of the room is the bathroom—spacious, well-designed, and a pleasure to use.
Prime Location in the Heart of Macau
The hotel boasts an unbeatable location in the heart of Macau’s old casino district. It’s just a short walk to Senado Square, and a major bus hub is right in front of the hotel, making it easy to travel anywhere on the island.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Hotel Lisboa stands out for its exceptional service. The warm hospitality, classic charm, and unbeatable location keep me coming back every time I visit Macau. If you’re looking for a classic, well-located hotel with a touch of old-school luxury, this is the place to be.

Read moreI stayed at Hotel Lisboa during my visit to Macau earlier this year. Although the hotel interior is dated compared to the newer hotels in Cotai. I chose Lisboa due to it being walking distance to the old city, and economical price.
The service from the hotel was exceptional. The Guest Relations Manager, Angel Choi reached out in advance by e-mail of my arrival. I thought it was a standard form e-mail to arrange transportation from the port to the hotel so I replied with my expected arrival time. Due to misunderstanding and communication at the pick up spot since I arrived earlier than planed, I boarded the wrong bus to bring me to the hotel (I boarded the big bus, instead of a smaller private one). Angel called to find out if I was ok. Everything was sorted out at the hotel, and she even arranged for a private car to take us back to the port on the day of...
Read moreWe are passing by Macau from Taiwan and choose this hotel because of its historic value. We are pleasantly surprised by the superb customer services from front desk gentleman and the general manager who wrote us personal email about the typhoon warning. It really showed how the hotel cares for its foreign customers. The location can’t be beat if you want to walk to all the historic sites. There are plenty local eateries nearby 24 hours a day. The room is quite interesting. I can’t figure out if it’s Portuguese or Chinese styles. Seems to be a perfect blend of both. There is a bath tab with jets in the standard room. It’s perfect to soothe the sore muscles after a day of walking. We really enjoyed staying here! Thanks to all the staff members who made our staying...
