Quartel de São Francisco — Attraction in Sé

The St. Francisco Barracks is a colonial era building located along Rua de Santa Clara next to the attractive Jardim do Sao Francisco. It was built in 1864 upon the earlier grounds of the early 17th century fortress by the same name.

What you see here is a neo-classical building with a nice facade and column lined porch, light pink in colour with a white trim. The main building is presently is a club and restaurant.
