A French old rich classic.
An already amazing experience, but I expected a higher and better overall in terms of standards, with less restraints, limitations, and more freedom of choice to choose and experience everything showcased, in order for it to be passed as a 3 Michelin star experience above all the 2 and 1 stars I have tried.
The dinner was approx US$500+ per pax. With a glass of wine + 2 signature menu.
The seasonable menu was interesting, but since it was our first attempt, we went for the classic to check it off. The classic menu was extremely rich in every sense.. butter, lobster, caviar, foie gras, steak, pastry, cakes, ice cream, wine..
It’s an experience. The showcase of the chandelier at this top floor of grand Lisboa was amazing. Though view outside of the window was restricted that night due to weather, the old charming setting was private enough and nicely set up.
By the end of the dinner.. I must say, it made me feel rich in every sense, taste, experience, food. It’s something to try to test my own limit to...
Read moreWith Joel Robuchon hk still under revamp till Sep25 (according to Chef Julian), we went for Robuchon Au Dome in Macau for a weekdays lunch. You’ll get everything you’d expected from them and more:
services - impeccable services from greetings to understanding their customers and all the way towards the very fine details about temperature, gestures, when to give advice, provided a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.
wine and sommelier: I believe they hv a way bigger/better wine collection than most of the restaurants in the world, with very knowledgeable sommelier, we left the selection to her with great confidence, and of course, it was perfect.
leave space for bread, desserts, sweets, cheese whichever way you choose you number of courses. Every single item has their own distinctive trolley display. Very busy but pleasantly indulging experience.
Don’t know about you, but we will definitely be back just for this, and prepare for a 3hr pleasant lunch and an extra 2hrs of walking afterwards. One of the best...
Read moreTotally impressive from the reception entrance to the table experience. The restaurant is super classy and luxury with the expansive view from the high floor and massive crystal chandelier in the middle of the circular restaurant. Yet, it gave out somewhat age/ antiquity, dark, and Gotham city sort of vibes. Yeah, truly grandiose space from the era gone by kind thing.
There was no bad table here because it is just which view you prefer.
The service was what expected from 3 Michelin star. Quiet and elegance with perfect timing. The staff was accommodating and polite (I arrived when my dad was in the midst of wanting to move to more private table but carry the current view with us. Imagine!)
The food was excellent in quality or in presentation. However, the main courses were divine. The best chateaubriand in my life and 1/2 of it was foie gras. The lamb was phenomenal. I can’t say much about the bread, my mom attempted to have her meal togo cuz she...
