We wandered around much of Villa de Leyva looking for affordable accommodation and mainly only found hotels at 120,000 COP or more but then we stumbled across Posada San Martin just in behind the main square and hit the jackpot.||Super cute rooms up on the second level with firm comfortable beds, cable TV, private bathroom and seating in the walkway with grea views, all for a great price.||The staff are super friendly, the breakfast is decent and cheap, the wifi is strong, the location is hard to beat and the room price is cheaper than most hostels.||Stay here,...
Read moreHad the unfortunate experience of having a reservation for 14 guests, an upon arrival they were not expecting us, even though reservations were made since March for arrival on August, and had communication with manager Maria Clara 3 days before arrival. Had to find another place at the last minute, which fortunately we did at a better and cheaper place than this one. Good luck to anyone booking rooms here, just in case have alternate plans. Our double room was very small with not enough natural light. The lady who was taking care of the place will enter our room while we were away without telling us (she tidied up sometimes, and sometimes we weren't sure what she did).
