We stayed last year and we weren't that impressed,we were told things had improved so decided to go again based on the price. we have 5* standards and unfortunately we don't expect cheap toilet roll, broken aircon and a wardrobe full of dust Heavenly as some reviews describe🙄, definitely need to try some other 5*hotels Service from reception and porters was excellent Room could have had a little bit of tlc, nice but a little tired Aircon had issues for 3 evenings and we were far too hot, couldn't open the patio door one of those nights due to the smell of weed coming from another balcony Breakfast had improved but still not up to a 5 star standard. The dried curled up cheese and meat selection that looked like it was from the day before had gone but unfortunately it was still full of cakes etc from a box and tinned fruit. Omelettes were disgusting, overcooked just left hanging around on the griddle Fried eggs left cooking till someone wants one, crispy 🤢 Didn't use spa facilities, other than to shower. Games room seems like an after thought, stuck out of the way from bar area, never saw anyone in there, pool table had bits missing, broken cues, lack of chalk etc, partially working airhockey, table football table and 1 arcade game While away we had a small fan stolen from our room,A cleaner went in immediately after we left the room,my daughter nipped back for something and saw her coming out,she was in the room a while and didn't change anything towels etc. We returned a couple of hours later to notice a small battery fan had gone missing from on the bed,the cleaner had not changed towels or beds Notified reception, never turned up Can't accuse anyone however all three of us know exactly where it was left 2 hours beforehand. We were polite enough to say it probably got picked up by accident, but we know better Entertainment was limited and finished very early Different rules for different people, some vape/smoke round the pool and drink there own drinks,I had a bottle of my own drink one day got told off Im looking around wondering why I was singled out when the woman 20ft away was vaping and drinking her bottle while I was being spoke too 🤷 I was the only one stood constantly at the smoking point but got a letter shoved under my door accusing me of vaping in the room, which didn't happen 😡 Hotel is out of the way on a hill, but taxi's are fairly affordable however some do try it on with extra tariffs. The hotel looks good in main areas, lobby, entrance, bar area and corridors but is missing vital things to make us...
Read moreWhere to even begin! Hotel Plantacion is an absolute gem in Jardin. We have now stayed at Hotel Plantacion three times and have loved every single stay.
Hotel Plantacion is not just a hotel; it's a gateway to a unique travel experience. It's an invitation to a sustainable way of being and a form of tourism that benefits both the community and the planet. The design of the hotel is not just gorgeous, it's a stunning reflection of the lovely local culture and Colombia as a whole. The mindfully selected art pieces and design touches throughout the property bring a sense of awe, beauty, and comfort. We were particularly drawn to the intentionally curated space featuring locally made products for sale, adding a unique touch to our stay.
The rooms are well thought out, offering a deep sense of comfort and peace to the stay. We especially loved the mattresses! They are perfect! The mattress and the linens are all very high quality! We have stayed in both room #6 and room #9. I would highly recommend any room at Hotel Plantación, as they are all intentionally designed. However, we fell in love with these two rooms, which were spacious and perfect for our needs.
The food at Hotel Plantacion is a true delight! The breakfast included in our stay exceeded all expectations, offering an excellent variety throughout our visit. The waffles were a particular favorite of ours! The quality, consistency, and outstanding flavors of the food kept us coming back almost every single day. We highly recommend dining here a few times to fully experience the diverse and delicious menu.
The team at Hotel Plantacion is the absolute best! They are very friendly and provide the best customer service. They made each of our stays feel extra special. They are an excellent example of outstanding Colombian hospitality. The team at Plantación has a special place in our hearts, and we are grateful that we got to know them and for all their help during our stays.
There is so much more, but without a doubt, to us, Hotel Plantacion is the best hotel in Jardin. If you're looking for a place that adds immense value, has great attention to detail, and contributes to a conscious, elevated form of tourism, Hotel Plantation is the place!
We are already looking forward to our next visit to Hotel Plantacion. The thought of returning to this oasis of comfort, beauty, and sustainability fills us with anticipation. We can't wait to experience the warm hospitality and exceptional...
Read moreWe had a lovely stay here. This hotel deserves its high rating. We weren’t sure what to expect from the hotel given its in a relatively small town with not a lot of competition but the hotel came as a pleasant surprise.
We were greeted with a welcome drink of our choice and someone helped take our bags to our room. We really liked the idea of thinking about your impact as a traveller more. Small things such as choosing your towel for your stay and the little tips through the hotel were nice and not too intrusive if you decided to ignore them.
The room was large and comfortable with a spacious shower and nice hot water. We were given a selection of snacks which were complimentary and every evening we were given a thermos full of hot water and some tea and coffee.
On top of this the hotel offers free breakfast (which was delicious) and a restaurant for lunch and dinner which is really nice (note there are only vegetarian options). They also have a Japanese bath which is free to use with booking and again adds to the stay being relaxing and rejuvenating.
If you’re arriving in Jardin by bus with your luggage, it’s very easy to get a Tuk Tuk or taxi from the bus station and costs about 6,000COP. On our way back, the hotel...
