Hotel Cuarta Avenida — Hotel in Cali

Was here at Hotel Cuarta Avenida for over 2 months. Nothing bad to say. Before I went to Hotel Cuarta Avenida I was at another hotel paying more for a children’s size hotel room. I asked to see the room at Cuarta Avenida before I rented and one of my prerequisites was that the hotel room had a balcony. ||I was shocked to see how large the rooms where. Bedroom was master bedroom size and a good sized living room. Hotel also has kitchen with a refrigerator. Well furnished with a closet and didn’t have the hotel feel. It has a home away from home feel while on vacation. It is near one main streets and while on vacation I like to sleep in late there is double pane glass in the bedroom. Never heard the morning traffic while I was sleeping. The rooms are clean, like new. The bed is comfortable. A/C works. Hotel is within walking distance of sites and shopping. If you want to get groceries or shopping mall/commercial center is a 5 minute walk. The hotel also has a great restaurant downstairs. ||The hotel doesn’t have a grand entryway. It gives that up for the large rooms. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. They make you feel great for staying there. ||Do I recommend this place, Yes. Do I plan on coming back to the same hotel, Yes. I’ve been in Cali a few times and paid a lot more at other hotels. This was the best priced and best experiences I’ve had...

First and foremost the location of the hotel is at the epicenter of cali, you are in the center of the city and close to all the major tourist attractions. The rooms are comfy, thank goodness for Ac because it gets hot here. The rooms themselves are nice, bedding is clean and neat, and the staff will clean the room twice a week. Oh and I highly recommend acquiring a room with a balcony, you will not be disappointed, for a view of the plazoleta is spectacular at night and during festival hours its truly a sight. 1 con of the room is the size of the bathroom, didn’t bother my experience too much, but if you’re used to a restroom plus size, it might seem small. The staff: the owners are very kind, you’ll meet them many times during your stay, as they are actively engaged in the best experience for clients. You’ll find an assortment of hard working people in the kitchen making staples of the country, (for a solid price) maintenance workers here and there, a welcoming reception desk with information about the city and equipped to handle your business needs should a issue arise. NEWS FOR TOURISTS some of the staff know English so don’t worry if your spanish is not up to par, (i was worried) but i highly recommend checking out this hotel, i definitely will have to come back to see more of cali and this is the first stop on...

The location, price and amenities offered by the Hotel Cuarta Avenida are some of the best in Cali. I was there with family who were staying at two other major hotels and after being in both I can say that this hotel rivals them in almost every category. The staff is extremely friendly and effective even though I did not speak much spanish. Thats not to say you shouldn't try speaking a little spanish to help things along ;) Our room was extremely clean, spacious and cool when we needed it to be. The only thing that was less than great was the amount of hot water. However, while I was there the temperature was hot enough that the cool water was refreshing before or after a hot day of walking and dancing. In addition I only ate breakfast there once as there are so many places I wanted to eat, so I cant speak on any food other than the breakfast I ate which was delicious! And if you need advice on anything including salsa lessons, I encourage you to ask Alcira; she's incredibly helpful and friendly.
