Disappointed. I wish I could give a good review about this hotel, however I can not.
We do not mind things not going as planned, and anything can be resolved if it's handled in a polite and respectful way. We did not experience this...
To begin with at our arrival we did not feel welcomed at all, and the young man at the reception seemed to be unaware of our arrival. He's a young man that would benefit greatly in all areas of his life from learning some courtesy, humility and respect.
We arrived at 12pm. I said "I know that we are early for check in, maybe the room is still ready for us? If not, can we leave our bags here until it is ready and we'll come back later?"
After quite some time with the guy fiddling around and being very unclear, he took us to one of the rooms. 15min later he came back and told us that this was not our room, so we changed to another room...
After changing rooms we were told that there's a fee for checking in early ... A fee to check in early is ok, however the whole thing was handled in a very bad way...
We were told twice that breakfast started at 7am. After me asking for breakfast the second time in the morning, we were told that they do not have breakfast for us since we had not payed for our room yet ...
The man in the reception in the morning was very nice, and did the best he could with what he had. Unfortunately it does not seem like their boss prioritizes hospitality and service...
Anyhow, the facilities are absolutely gorgeous and it has a great location. The room we got was very small, and the service was very bad...
This hotel has great potential and would do very good if they trained their staff well, and showed some courtesy, respect and hospitality towards their guests. Hospitality and service would easily allow this place to be filled up, now it is...
Read moreI wouldn't have regularly looked for a hotel in this lovely San Antonio neighborhood if I were on a business trip. This time I chose this hotel, because it's near our new office and was really positively surprised.|| The hotel itself is a family type small boutique setting, and has some very nice and unique advantages. I would say it is quite attractive and has a wonderful view from the "city view" rooms. ||The rooms are average in size and comfort, nothing fancy but they are good. Same thing applies to the bathroom and shower, bedding and most features. Breakfast is served upstairs in the third floor in a new place that now in the evenings becomes a skyline rooftop bar, where tapas and cocktails are served, with an entrance free policy for the hotel guests. The view from this place is wonderful, at night or day. As I was checking out they were finishing a new restaurant which will be located right at the entrance of the hotel, || The neighborhood offers plenty of restaurant options and even next-door, there's a very nice cheff signature type, which I strongly recommend. || Finally the cost is also quite good for the area and for the city's overall average. And its location makes it easy to access most places in the north and west side of town, where most atttactions are.|| Would...
Read moreI am just speechless after staying here.|Upon checking the ladies of the reception where pushing to pay as like they didn’t trust us, while they didn’t have the option to pay by credit card. They never made us feel welcome.|The room itself was very small, dirty and unhygienic. The bathroom is very small and only has cold water, the toilet is just impractical.|Now what surprised me the most is during the night at 2 am and 3 am, a buss full of drunk tourists arrived from the local salsa club, as the hotel advertise itself with soundproof walls. I definitely can promise you that it was like we were sleeping in the middle of the salsa club. |Now the best thing still needs to come. |Not only was there so much noise, but they were doing boomboom in several rooms like animals. The screaming and beds knocking against the wall made us feel we were sleeping in a cheap love Hôtel where the ladies of the night were selling their flowers. Horrible experience, I even woke up with a dirty feeling. Don’t...
