Hotel Isla de Capri — Hotel in Cartagena

Summary: Infrastructure of the room hotel is very bad. Peeling paint, leaks, mold, doors not closing, bad windows, noises, busy street, small swimming pool, bad smell in bathroom,... I think this used to be a nice hotel but it definitely isn't anymore. Everything is getring fixed with temporary cheap solutions. My family changed rooms 4 times because of all the problems. I had to change twice and eventually got a free "suite" but then the roof came down because of a big leakage in the middle of the night. They offered 1 week free stay because of this.

Rooms: size is ok and airconditioning works. Many problems in the building but the beds and lobby is ok. Service: no english but good service. They paid 80% back of the payment after my family wanted to go to another hotel because of the many problems in this one. Breakfast ok but basic. Location is pretty good but the street is very busy. You can hear the traffic at night.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The good reviews are definitely of another era. I would be ashamed to hav guests over.

I would recommend the good workers to find another job as soon as possible because this hotel won't stay open for...

The hotel is aprox. a 20 minutes footwalk away from the historic center. We booked a room with sea view, sadly there is a highway running right in front of the hotel and between hotel and beach and the windows dont protect from the noise at all so spending this money was not really worth it. The hotel is a little worn down and could need renovations (for example stains on the walls, broken hangers in the bathroom and no bowl for leaving the soap in the shower). Breakfast is okay but not much variation. The service of the restaurant personell is good. However: There were spray paint works going on on the parking lot of the hotel and when we walked by, the paint sprayed all over us and stained our clothes. When complaining to the hotel staff about it it was merely noted, no sorry or reimbursement offered. That's why we will not remember this hotel fondly. I needed several showers and intense rubbing to remove the paint from my skin, don't know how much of it I inhaled. The guy doing the paint job was not wearing any...

This place is the most horid hotel I have even stayed in. There was no hot water, bugs,spiders,BLACK mold in the showers and our room! This is not a handicap accessible hotel at all. The noise from the street was horid,so horid I had to sleep with ear plugs. I explained to the front desk all the issues and showed them the pictures and all I got was you can't post the photos that it's illegal. It is NOT illegal I fact checked. The pool was unusable and was the size of a jacuzzi with 2 lawn chairs. You have to pay for your water as well. The staff was rude and the hotel was overall under health code standards for any sane person. Please save your money and headache. This hotel is not worth any stars at all but I had to...
