Nice small hotel in the Getsemany neighbourhood. Easy walking distance from the old town. The area is loud during the night but the hotel is located on the quiet street. The rooms are clean and air-conditioned. The hotel staff is very nice and friendly especially Marina, the lady in charge of preparing breakfast and cleaning the rooms. Thomas, the hotel owner greeted us and gave us good advice about tours and location upon our arrival. Every morning we got different breakfast which was very good.||The only thing they should add is a small refrigerator which would be handy since the temperatures in Cartagena are very high. Read moreLeyendas Del Mar is a small hotel, maybe 10-12 rooms or so that provides a safe, secure basic stay in the heart of Getsemaní, and very close walking distance to the Cartagena Centro de Convenciones. They serve a basic breakfast every morning. The rooms are small, no work space, but the shower has piping hot water, and the air conditioning works well.||All the staff is super friendly and helpful.||The rooms were clean, but housekeeping forgot to fill the shower soap jar, even after I left a reminder note, and the hotel has a problem with lots of tiny ants everywhere. It is near the walled city (5-10 min walk) and close to a lot of restaurants and bars in Getsemaní, but not close enough to hear the music coming from the Zumba classes at the Plaza de la Trinidad. (By the way, loved the atmosphere of that.) The staff was flexible when we arrived before check in time. It’s a simple hotel, but it fulfilled all my needs: hot water, air conditioning, breakfast, Good WiFi and good service. Ah..but taxi drivers have a hard time finding it so better to have at least a downloaded map to show them...
