Only a few nice staff members and good activities. Unfortunately my room was not cleaned everyday which I would expect for £85 per night for a private hostel room. After I told the staff on Wednesday that my  room was not cleaned for 2 days, my room was cleaned that day. Unfortunately again on Thursday my room was not cleaned and I raised this with a staff member on Friday morning who apologised and said my room would be cleaned on Friday. When I checked out I raised my concerns about my room only being cleaned twice out of my 6 night stay, the staff told me it was not true and the cleaners had cleaned my room. I requested to look at the CCTV, after reviewing the CCTV the staff agreed that the cleaners had not cleaned my room on 3 of the days. They advised me that the hostel manager would be in touch with a solution. I received inappropriate and unprofessional Whatsapp messages from the Cartagena hostel manager who accused me of lying about the whole situation and I had to block her. I raised my concerns to the Medellín los patios who were actually very apologetic about my experience and helpful in passing my complaint on to the national customer service manager who apologised to me and looked into the situation. In general i had a good time here. The location is good and nice staff! Shout out too Karen, my norwgian queen. But, i had two not so unfortunate experience. First of all, at 00am, my last nighy, two of the staff members came in turning on all lights and talking really loud. People were sleeping but they dident show any respect. It was something wrong with the air conditioner, so one of the people sleeping in the dorm was with them when they came in to the room. I guess she asked them to fix something. I was going to wake up really early the next day but was hold awake because of this, in the end I had to stand up asking them to maybe talk outside of the room because it was late. They did so. But some minutes later on of the staff member came back in starting to repair the air condition. He made a lot of noise and i was waken up again. I thought this was really unprofessional. They should have waited to fix this tomorrow!

Second thing, was that i forgot somthing in the room when i left. I sent them a message the same day but dident get any answer before 2 days. They said they dident find it, meaning that they threw it away or someone took it. They should have had a lost and found box, for people who...

Best stay in Cartagena!! After being disappointed from a hostel, I looked for another one and found more than a hostel… a family for 4 days. The location is ideal, the rooms and the hostel are super clean and modern. The staff is a gem… their beautiful smile and attentive service will highlight your stay.

I spend 4 nights taking the free dancing classes at 8pm with Steven the animator, and then doing the rooftop/nightclub tour… shout out to him ! So much energy, enthusiasm and he always make sure you’re having a good night, you’re coming back to the hostel safe + knows the best places to have fun and dance with the locals ! I loved the sunset tour as well on Sunday. For sure after a dancing night with him you’ll want to learn to dance like a “Costeño”.

Thanks for the restaurant service, the food and the coffee was delicious, thanks for the cleaning staff, it was sparkling! The bartender cocktails are very yummy with a view on the forteresse and the sunset … and the reception… you guys made me feel sooo welcomed in Cartagena.

Also the free city tour with Elisa … this woman is a ray of sunshine ! She set the vibe in Cartagena on my first morning.
