This was one of the most fun clubs in Cartagena. If you like to Salsa and like live music this is the place to be. It does get packed so either arrive early or pay premium entry (it was 50,000 COP per person) but the drinks are good (they have a homemade mojito that is really good) and strong and they give good service. Well staffed and clean place..it just gets really tight to dance when there is a lot of people inside. Otherwise a fun and exciting night full of great live music, lots of cuban history, and plenty of dancing. There are a lot of foreigners that visit here as well so good place to meet people.

Oh what a night!! Went on a Friday night to experience the live music and it did not disappoint! Two incredible bands played and everyone in the bar was up dancing or at least bopping along in their seats. Everyone there was so friendly and I danced with strangers and chatted with new friends. The service was wonderful as well. I almost didn’t go because I was tired from a full day of exploring and ready to go to bed, but this was on my list of things to do on a Friday night in Cartagena, so I put my glad rags on and headed out for a night I won’t soon forget. If you are in Cartagena, this is a must do!!

Very personal 'out- of- body' experience for me... That elusive Stendhal syndrome I did not experience in Firenze I did experience here: I was exposed to art/culture/society through osmosis. Lived, breathed and bathed in Colombia's Caribbean vibe through amazing music, lots of salsa dancing and a generous amount of mojitos ;-) I had a 'Kathleen Turner on "Romancing the stone" moment' there. It was not Renaissance art but art nonetheless: exuberant, alive, overwhelming, conducive to hedonistic abandonment. LOOOOOVE this place!!!

They charge 40 to 60,000 cop cover fee, drinks are very expensive, they don't allow you bring your water bottle inside! The music is not Cuban, the Night I was there I was expecting bueña Vista social club musics but nothing was played. Music was not tunned and trumpet was too loud and harsh. No dance floor but people are dancing so tightly in the little narrow space between uncomfortable chairs and tables of the restaurant. If you like dancing salsa you can check this place out maybe you like the atmosphere.

Is it expensive? For Colombia, Yes. Full of tourists? Yes. Space to dance? Not really. However, is this hands down the best nights live entertainment a visiting gringo can have in Cartagena? Absolutely. Those $60k drinks are not messing around, they’re expensive but they’re STRONG. That $60k cover charge would go further drinking OK cocktails in an alleyway, but the bands and atmosphere are second to none. Do it. I didn’t have the food, but I’ve heard terrible reviews.

Famous salsa bar in Cartagena. Went on a Tuesday and a Saturday. Both days had two live salsa bands alternating. They are amazing! Saturday was more packed, of course, and had slightly more people dancing. But it felt too crowded to dance properly. It's a good place to to enjoy live salsa and dance a little. But if you're looking for a proper social dance night it might not be the place for you. I sadly haven't found one yet :(
