I visited this place based on the reviews, and it did not disappoint, particularly in terms of customer service. On my first visit, I ordered the Peppefunky pizza and a cold shrimp appetizer. While I didn’t enjoy the appetizer, I believe seafood enthusiasts who appreciate ceviche might feel differently. Kelly Luego, who was exceptionally kind, didn’t charge me for the dish, understanding my preference, which I sincerely appreciated.

I was also served by Estefany, who was equally delightful. That evening, we were offered complimentary bread with hummus, which we appreciated, and I decided to order the pizza again. Although I considered trying the burger due to the truffle ingredient, I ultimately chose the pizza, knowing it would be a safe bet for me. My partner also enjoyed the pizza.

The ambiance is excellent. I requested to be seated outside on the rooftop, but there are also options to sit indoors or on the patio. I enjoyed the views, and the washrooms were clean. I visited around 7:30 pm on both nights, and the place was fairly busy but still quiet! I also admired the interior décor and would consider staying at the hotel if I visit again.

After having one of the worst and most disappointing experiences of my life at Candé, I walked into Carta Ajena and everything changed.

From the moment you step into this place, you're welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere is inclusive, stylish, and relaxed. What truly made the night exceptional, though, was Celeste. Despite being the only person managing the rooftop area on a busy night, she was incredibly efficient, fast, and professional. Her energy was warm, her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel truly valued.

I arrived feeling upset and unwelcome after what I experienced at Candé, but Celeste and Carta Ajena turned my night and my mood—around completely. She made me smile and reminded me what real hospitality should feel like.

The food and drinks were amazing fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. And the rooftop view, with its elegant vibe and poolside ambiance, was the perfect setting to enjoy it all.

Carta Ajena is everything Candé is not: inclusive, respectful, joyful, and sincere. I will definitely return, and I’ll recommend it to anyone...

Food was ok service was terrible. There was a hostess that kept our change and ignored us after we mentioned that a server with a braid who I don’t know the name of had forgotten our order multiple times. The server with the braid took our drink orders and we reminded her 3 separate times for our drinks, another server reminded her as well and we never got them. When we ordered our check we were charged for the drinks that we never received. As someone who has worked as a server for a long time I tend to be very lenient with staff, but they weren’t busy in front of house, it was still early in the day and it was a week day. There wasn’t a noticeable reason for us to be ignored and forgotten.
