I recently visited Libertario Coffee Roasters in Cartagena, excited to indulge in a relaxing coffee break, only to be met with an experience so dismal, it compelled me to warn others. The service was abysmally poor, a glaring contrast to the charming ambiance one would expect from such an establishment. Despite the cafeās inviting menu, the reality was a stark disappointment. Items I eagerly ordered, anticipating a delightful taste of their acclaimed offerings, never made it to my table, evaporating into thin air as if they were never meant to be enjoyed.
To add insult to injury, when my latte finally arrived after a prolonged wait, teetering on the brink of patience, I discovered an egregious overcharge. The menu clearly stated that a latte comes equipped with two espresso shots, yet, I was billed extra for an additional shot I neither requested nor received. This blatant oversight in billing not only marred the taste of the coffee but also left a bitter aftertaste of deceit.
The lack of accountability and the dismal service at Libertario Coffee Roasters have thoroughly soured my view of what I had hoped would be a delightful coffee sanctuary in Cartagena. Itās disheartening to see such negligence and lack of respect for customers. This experience has not only robbed me of my time and money but also of the pleasure and tranquility I seek in a coffee shop. I implore potential visitors to consider my experience as a cautionary tale and think twice before stepping into Libertario Coffee Roasters. In a city celebrated for its hospitality and vibrant coffee culture, there are undoubtedly more deserving establishments that truly understand the essence of customer satisfaction and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat coffee shop in the middle of Cartagenaās neighborhood, Getsemani. I had a delicious avocado-toast with lots and lots and lots of avocado, and an almond croissant.š Coffee was really good too.
š„WHATāS SPECIAL: Their avocado toast. You get a mountain of avocado on top of sourdough-bread topped with sprouts. Delicious!
š„MENU: They offer sandwiches, waffles, bowls and granola
šµPRICE: What you would expect from a tourist area but I compared to other locations in Cartagena (I created lists of my favorite places) found the avocado toast for $22300 too pricey because avocado is a local fruit. Same goes for the almond croissant for $11200, especially since it only had a few almonds on top but no cream inside. Lunch bowls are between $22-25000. Cappuccino $10200 and natural juice for $8000.
š”VIBE: Relaxed. Cafe split into two areas, one has air conditioning, the other doesn't. Lots of space in seating area. Mix of young and older people
ā°OPENING HOURS: 8 am - 5 pm daily

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came across this shop while walking in the neighborhood & decided to stop in for an afternoon pick me up: iced coffee & pan de bono with guava jam. Both were so fresh & tasty, we looked up the website & read about the āexperiencesā they offer. We spoke with Gabriel & decided to enroll for an experience the next morning (understanding different profiles of coffee, brewed v60). My husband and I attended the reservation & we had a blast chatting with Gabriel for 1.5 hours, learning about how coffee is grown, fermented, roasted, and how it affects the flavor profile by the time you sip it. The workshop was right at the coffee bar with Gabriel, in English, and lots of fun! Although Iām the coffee drinker at home, my husband and I both agreed this was in our top 3 experiences of our trip. We left with bags of coffee & canāt wait to start brewing at home....
