Mansion Bahia Manga — Hotel in Cartagena

The most fantastic experience I have ever had so far.

The hosts are lovely, welcoming people that make you feel like being home instantly. They are originally from Cartagena so they give you the best advise on sightseeing, restaurants, tours in and around the city and services (like taxi prices etc.). Once I got quite sick and hosts helped me a lot - highly appreciated that, especially since I was travelling alone. Loved the surprise breakfast with homemade arepas and bbq party - was a fantastic and authentic experience.

Location is perfect: 10 min away from the city center, quiet and very save, right on the promenade with a beautiful sunset view on bocagrande. Great place for jogging and doing sports. 2 min away from supermarket and a few restaurants/bakery.

The house is old and authentic with spacious rooms and other common facilities. Additional services like laundry service can be rendered. Sparkling clean:)

OMG I want...

This have being one of my greatest time expend in Cartagena, especially staying at Mansion Bahia Manga. This is the best place to stay in Cartagena. It is located very close the walled city, countless restaurants, the airport and the beautiful Bahía a steps from the mansion. In addition it is very safe area. I walked at night around and I did not feel any fear or worries. The staff at the place made me feel like I was part of the family. They helped me with any request or piece of advice I asked. The house has more that 100 years old but it is so well maintained. In the Mansion you can feel the history of Cartagena and the tradition of a old city. WARNING: We contacted and reserved with Ricardo directly via WhatsApp. After a long day driving (with 3 tire punctures) we arrived tired and exhausted just before 17pm and the house was completely locked up. Nobody there. Looked like deserted. We tried the door bell for minutes and tried to reach Ricardo via phone and wa no reaction. Very poor and bad experience. Don’t fall for the charming pictures in booking and the attractive rates compared to others. Over 2 hours later the host send a message “Hola Que pena.
