León de Baviera Cartagena — Restaurant in Cartagena

I am from Germany and after travelling South America for several months was feeling homesick. Leon de Bavaria delivered exactly what I needed. Great quality German food. The Schnitzel and sausages with Sauerkraut and potatoes were delicious and like at home. So was the beer. Only four instead of five stars because the Spatzle were quite bland and the service was not so friendly (probably because the waitress was stuck in a dirndl). Its also a little pricey for Colombian standards but would certainly recommend...

This is a German inspired restaurant located in the Getsemaní district of Cartagena that serves a wide selection of German dishes along with several German beers. I have dined here twice and each time my meal has been delicious. I have had the schnitzel and the goulash both of which were excellent. The menus are written both in Spanish and German. We went there to watch champions league! They are showing all games and the dishes are for a German restaurant outside of Europe really cheap. You can drink typical german beer like Radler, Paulaner, Schneider Weise,... but also local beer. The price for a Radler was 10000 and German local beer is around 15000 to 25000 Pesos for half a Liter what is really ok. The dishes are also between 10000 to 30000...
