Visiting Fuerte de San Sebastián del Pastelillo was an unforgettable experience, blending history, romance, and exquisite Caribbean flavors. This historic fort-turned-restaurant offers one of the most breathtaking sunset views in Cartagena, with golden hues reflecting over the water, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

The ambiance is both elegant and nostalgic, with its colonial architecture, open-air seating, and candlelit tables that set the perfect mood. The sea breeze and panoramic views make it an ideal setting for a romantic evening, making it especially perfect for Valentine’s Day or any special celebration.

The Caribbean-inspired menu is equally impressive, featuring fresh seafood and rich flavors. Some must-try dishes include:

Grilled Mahi-Mahi – Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, capturing the essence of coastal cuisine.

Lobster Tail in Garlic Butter – A decadent, flavorful dish that pairs beautifully with the ocean backdrop.

Coconut Rice & Fried Plantains – A classic side that complements the seafood beautifully.

Passionfruit Mojito – Refreshing and tropical, the perfect drink to sip while watching the sunset.

The staff was exceptionally warm and attentive, ensuring a seamless dining experience with personalized recommendations and top-tier service.

For those seeking a romantic, scenic, and culinary experience in Cartagena, Fuerte de San Sebastián del Pastelillo is a must-visit. Whether it’s for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or a dreamy dinner by the sea, this spot delivers a truly...

Emblematic place. I’ve been going since I was a kid. The ambiance and the location are second to none. The food is good with dishes better than others (cazuela de mariscos is the best). I give a 4 stars instead of a 5 because my dish the last time we went, yesterday was below the standard I expected, but the other dishes from my groups were all superb. The staff is friendly and professional. The prices are reasonable and what you can expect in such a restaurant. All in all, it’s an experience not to miss when coming...

Made reservations 2 weeks ago for dinner. We arrived in Cartagena on Wednesday, reservation was for Thursday night at 7:30. Received an email Thursday afternoon that the reservation was cancelled and they could not accommodate us. Thanks for the 3 hour warning. So wrong any way you look at it. With all the great food in Cartagena…...

Excellent service. Food was very good. Ambiance and view was the best. Picked this spot for my wife’s birthday and she loved it! They put roses on the table and rose petals and candles all around us.
