This is the first time I have ever rated so low an hotel but this hotel gave me all the reasons to be more than just harsh.
There are many perks, the hotel has an amazing view to the lake and it's pretty close to the el Peñol and includes breakfeast within the fee of the booking. Nevertheless, the check-in and check-out process was an absolute mess, I had an 12 hour trip to get to this place and I was instructed to call the person who will give me my keys and do my check-in before arriving but that person never answered my calls.
I had to call around with other phone numbers I saved while doing my booking to try to get a hold of this person who had the keys for my room. By the time I got there, no one was there to welcome us or do a quick check- in. The only one that tried to help me was the one person on the phone but she wasn't in the hotel so I received radio silence from the people who worked there but weren't responsible of managing receiving costumers, so me and my parents waited a couple of hours for the "responsible" person to get to the hotel to then wait a couple of hours more for our room because it wasn't clean for our arrival.
Moreover, while staying I realized that the "hotel" had extremely thin walls, so thin that I could heard my neighbours shower running, the toilet flushing and all their screams, laughs and cries as if I were in their room. Furthermore, one of the perks that was the breaksfast, became a doble edge sword. I was only capable of choosing one type of breakfast from the menu, no biggie right? The matter was that something in the meal or the drinks was spoil or contaminated. My family and I got repeatedly bloated and gassy, we couldn't sleep well because of this and the noise. I bet they were serving us water from the tap or something of the sorts. Also, throughout my stay the light of my room wasn't working properly because of some damage with the electric circuit so I had to always call for someone to get it fix.
THE INTERNET WAS HORRIBLE!!!
In conclusion, I had a great time while being out of my room, enjoying the view and going to Guatape and going up el Peñol but I didn't enjoy the service and space given to me to rest in the hotel and the restaurant. If you go for a practical location close to the main attractions and more or less cheap accomodation, then this is your place. If you want some kind of commodity and comfort while staying in your room and actually receiving a good service as a proper hotel should provide then you should never step a foot in this place, DO NOT...

The view from the hotel is spectacular.. but on the second night- morning of departure with a 9 hr road trip back home ahead of us, the “patron and his Pablo Escobar look alike squad” came to the hotel restaurant like at 1 am drinking and playing super loud music.. we couldn’t sleep at ALL!!! We spoke to receptionist, no resolution.. we spoke with administrator Lina Palacios who stated: he is the owner and we cannt say anything…||That was outrageous!!!! That experience ruined our memories of such a wonderful place- la...
