Lady Mom Hostal — Hotel in Medellín

During our recent stay, we encountered several disappointing aspects of this Airbnb. Firstly, the doorknob was slightly broken, which left us feeling uneasy about the security of our belongings. The shower was unfortunately dirty upon arrival, making us question the cleanliness of the entire space. Additionally, the window screens that didn't fit allowed bugs to enter freely, and the lack of a fan left the room uncomfortably warm.

To our dismay, the sheets provided were also unclean, causing discomfort throughout our stay. What's even more frustrating is the host's failure to address these issues promptly. Furthermore, the host falsely accused us of checking out late in their review on Airbnb, which is completely inaccurate.

Adding to the disappointment, the listing claimed the presence of a kitchen, but upon arrival, we were informed that the kitchen was only available during specific hours when the attached restaurant was not open. This miscommunication was truly disappointing and impacted our plans.

Moreover, when the place was initially booked, it was reserved for one person. However, due to my arrival on the second day, we cleared this with the host and agreed upon an additional cash payment for the extra guest. Unfortunately, the host didn't have enough change at the time and assured us they would provide the necessary change. Regrettably, they never followed through, leaving us owed 10,000 Colombian pesos that still haven't been reimbursed.

This entire experience has left us profoundly dissatisfied and frustrated. We expected a comfortable, clean environment with accurate amenities and clear communication, and those expectations were not met. We believe there are numerous better options available in Medellin that offer a more pleasant stay. SCAM!! THIEVES!!

We booked through booking and tried to change the date a few days later, owner was unresponsive. When we did call they told us no problem but can't change booking. When we arrive hostel seems fine (not the cleanest just fine) 2th day we notice about 100usd missing from an envelope in one of our packs. Confused we head out thinking we spend it or something, when we get back first thing we do is recount that same envelope and even more money has suddenly gone missing. When we confront the staff they're helpful but don't know anything. The owner on the other hand 'watched the footage' concluded no one suspicious was in the hostel and told us we must have lost the money. The Room was so dirty, many bugs and spiders where crawling around. There was much mold everywhere, its really unhealthy to stay there! The Bedsheets where very stained and dirty, I asked for new ones but those where bad as well. When it rained the roof was leaking water, it dripped onto the bed.
