At the weekend we saw a queue down the street for this place so had to try it but when we did we really didn’t understand why.
The menu is creative and they’ve got some interesting toppings. In my opinion the test of a good pizza restaurant is a margarita because it’s key to get the base, sauce and cheese right. There’s barely any sauce on the pizza base and there are no sauces available for dipping either so it was dry. It was however dripping with oil when we picked up a slice. The bases are a bit rubbish too and the cheese didn’t taste of anything. If you’re going to go here, get a pizza with plenty of toppings to try and give it some flavour.
We decided to get the baked cookie for dessert because the picture on the menu looked great… but this was also overdone and dry :(

Read moreNothing Italian here except the name. The good: Its a nice looking popular place and the pizza is very thin. Its also clean from what I could see. The bad: Its tasteless and they use the cheapest ingredients. I would leave now and head over to cafe Zorba or even better Angelos Pizza. Vesuvio would not be a good choice even if you were stuck at a tiny airport in Alaska at 2am. They have this button you need to push for service. I pushed it 5 times over several minutes and the waiters never came. Colombian (the best people on the planet in my view) love novelty and they enjoy tasteless bland food which is the only reason this place is so crowded. Very...
Read morePlease don‘t get me wrong - your staff is friendly, the guest room is nice and you really seem to do your best - people seem to love it. But please just do not call this Vesuvio or ITALIAN. The Pizzas are miles away from Italian Pizza and napolitan culture (tarte flambée style, no fermentation of dough, oily, creepy toppings), the carpaccio is cut from an ice block of a meat and arrives watery, the balsamic vinegar is this honey style reduction topping, and the red wine arrives at 5 degrees. Some of my Italian friend would start crying louder than the violine cover music at our table. Anyways, thank you for the warm welcome and...
