Lleras Green Hotel — Hotel in Medellín

I’ve never written a review before that will cost anyone to lose business but this Green Hotel in the heart of Poblado Medellin deserves it more than any other businesses. They give Medellin a bad rep!

This has to be the the worst “hotel” I have ever stayed in. If you want to have the worst experience in Medellin then this would be your spot to be in.

We booked this hotel because of an unfortunate event at our initial airbnb not having running water due to a pipe burst (definitely beyond the host’s control) — so we came to this hotel asking if they have running water and available room for the night to which they said they did. Unbeknownst to us, it was their WORST room with the loudest noises coming from all over the place— mind you, we have a 1y.o child. So we’re up until 3AM trying to just wait until the noise dies down(which didn’t until like 4AM)

They very reason we came here for is the WATER and lo and behold, only one of us was able to take a COLD shower and the water runs out and there’s NO hot water. Very scammy!!!

They as employees and business KNOW the noise issue but have not and will not resolve for anyone. They know it because they literally will offer you an EARPLUGS as their “resolution” — I have never experienced such a thing!!!

I understand how a business works, but for a HOSPITALITY business, this is the last thing you’d expect or should ever expect.

VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. It’s one thing to run into issues that’s beyond anyones control but it’s even worse when the customer service provided is very unethical. When we complained about the issues we’re having all they had to offer is “we can’t do anything about it”. And proceeds to rather go over the million papers they’ll have you sign to prove “you signed a contract”.

We were not the only customers that were complaining about the same issues and this seems to be the kind of business they are running — scamming and exploiting tourists of their money and then go on and use their “contracts” as the resolution of any issue you may run into.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH UNETHICAL AND DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR FROM EMPLOYEES AND BUSINESS, LET ALONE ONE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOSPITALITY BUSINESS. Very unacceptable, horrible service and stay you will ever experience. So unless you want the same experience, then please...

I stayed at Lleras Green Hotel for 3 nights and for most part it was a fine stay. The location can’t really be beaten, no argument there. Contrary to some other reviews, the facilities in my room were good and functional. Bed was comfortable, pillows great and I really liked separate WC and bathroom. Shower hot and powerful. All the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast very good. ||The downside to such a central location (on weekends) is noise. It literally cut through the room on Saturday night all the way until 4 in the morning, and the window didn’t face the street but an indoor corridor. The same club had an electro party starting at 4 on Sunday afternoon until the evening, producing the same noise. ||This noise level is not a secret, it’s made clear on booking sites so I knew about it when I booked. Just didn’t realise it would be THAT noisy! Perfect hotel for party animals, less so for us approaching a certain age...I barely make it past 1am at the bars now. But the Sunday and Monday nights the music stopped at midnight, it’s the weekends that are the problem. ||I’m more than happy to stay again but not...

Cons: -Hotel is located very close to the bars and noise can be heard in the room a lot -Not a great place to stay if you want to relax and sleep at night -AC does not work properly -Only 1 key card will be given even you booked for 2 guest -key cards are needed to operate the electricity of the room so its hot all the time when you leave the room -No hair blow dryer in the room -Safe box is not working -There are insects in the room -Wifi is super slow and gets disconnected in my room -No outlet plug by the bed to charge your phone -The laptop table is damaged -Not enough darkening blinds in the room -The floor outside gets wet whenever you shower -No ramp outside for the luggage so either you ask for help with the Front desk or you’ll struggle to carry your luggage up the lobby -Bed sheets have stains -Room is very small with weird Bathroom layout

Pros: -Staff are friendly -The free Breakfast is good with a selection of omelet -close to Lleras Park and mostly everything is walkable -Safe and secured area to stay -Easy checkin and...
