Hotel Blue Toné — Hotel in Saint Andrew

I was appalled and disgusted by the experience that I went through in this hotel from the beginning even to the end of my four nights.Upon the appearance of the hotel from the outside, there was construction, and it was falling apart. upon entering the pictures of the hotel that they show online are nowhere even close to what they are inside. The only thing they have going for them is the view at the dining area. I had a bad experience. I tried to put two tables together, so our family can be together. Some lady came and told me that’s not allowed and I asked why they didn’t give me a reason, I asked to speak to supervisor the supervisor acknowledge that it was allowed, and that they shouldn’t have done that the staff was not properly educated how to deal with customers and guests. I was told I’m going to receive some type of accommodation to be sent to my room by the supervisor. I wasn’t told what it was, but I never got it. I didn’t want to ask for it another time so I let it be. I had a problem with the bathroom in the room. It did not flush. I told the concierge in the lobby regarding the matter they said to wait for someone in the room. Someone will be there soon waited there two hours so I went back downstairs to the concierge. That’s when I advised them once more of the issue and eventually someone did come the second time. Upon arrival from me being outside to come to a bathroom that was flooded if not for a drain that’s in the middle of the floor in the bathroom. There would’ve been a puddle full of water throughout the whole room. If not for that drain there was water everywhere. I wish I can upload the video. I asked for garbage bags and towels additional because the one from the floor obviously got wet and the garbage bag had a lot of stuff from cleaning.A bartender gave my mom tapwater instead of filtered water, which after led to my mom getting very sick, diarrhea, vomiting, the work. I had to personally buy medicine for her. She was sick for 4 days The last day was the worst for her. When asking for towels and additional garbage bags due to her, having to clean up with the towels because of her sickness, she did not make it to the bathroom. It took several times to get towels never received the garbage bags. The service was appalling. You have to ask two or more times. For the entire time that we stayed there, they never cleaned the room. We stayed four nights at this hotel not once. The hotel did not provide any Wi-Fi in the rooms. I had purchased a wristband to have open bar from 11 to 8 PM. They have restrictions on when and when you can’t drink the beer that’s available is only on tap the drinks. There were only five And they were not that great the best one was the rum. The other ones tasted like medicine and as far as the construction goes, I was not advised that there will be construction in the premises during my stay that there was going to be hammering noises every morning that there will be construction crew walking throughout the building that they will be on the side of the building people hanging and rocks falling from the side of the building onto the street floor and at first you don’t want to make it a big deal you’re on vacation but you had everything up. It became the worst experience I’ve ever been in worst hotel experience I had ever dealt with. And giving negative stars was an option. I would definitely would poor service staff is not properly trained. I did not get any accommodations for any of the wrongdoings that I dealt with oh, and this was also kind of weird the key that they gave us look like a bathroom key that you get at a gas station. It is a wooden stick with the key attached to it and you had to carry this thing everywhere. No key cards it could’ve been just the key with a little plastic on it with the key number would’ve been suffice But no you had to carry these big 2 x 4 that was about 4 inches long. And trust me I have more to add is just I wrote a lot as it is. I hope that my review can give you an indication of what this place has...

If I had a nice thing to stay I’d start with that, but I don’t. I’ve slept outside in thunderstorms and had better experiences. Where do I begin? The 12am flight that after arrival and check in got you to the room at 4am? Great start. The first room was so bad and had so many bugs and noises we were able to fight the front desk to get us another room. The towels are basically paper towels. The rooms are so humid nothing ever dries so the smell and feeling on the floor when you walk is disgusting. The door handle didnt work which is wild in and of itself. You’re lucky if you get a room with functioning AC.

Let’s get on to the staff. Cleaning staff was nice, everyone else basically made you feel like an extreme inconvenience for existing. One day the staff took our towels, so we went downstairs to ask for more and were told “there are none”. How is that even possible? One of the guys in the front told us that “we’re lucky we didn’t get punched”, when we tried to shelter a dog from gale force winds. Insane.

The food promised at the “buffet” was…acceptable. Given the nature of the amenities in general the food being edible was a surprise.

All-in, I’d recommend getting a tent and sleeping on the beach instead of staying here. If someone offers you a room for free, I would not recommend accepting that offer.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been in. I think the ONLY thing that MIGHT help this hotel a little is that it’s beach front. That’s literally the ONLY reason I can think of what’s good about this hotel. The food was unappetizing, it was always the same thing, no variety at all and poorly prepared and displayed. The rooms were, disgusting. The sheets smelled like a wet old rag would and the smell of old wood is gross. When we complained about this the same night they said they would switch us the next morning. They did, the room they switched us to the day after we thought was fine, everything smelled much better but it had no a/c but they did provide us with a fan. After we thought everything was ok, the morning after we woke up drenched (fan wasn’t enough with the insane heat) and completely bit by termites. We thought it was a mosquito in our room but when we checked our bed and the windowsill and it was filled with termites, TERMITES!!! I don’t know why we didn’t notice it in the beginning. We told management and they switched us AGAIN! We were so fed up with the bad service from the workers, they were so rude and obnoxious when we would complain as if it were OUR fault. When we were switched again, they put us in a room with the same issue as the first. The pool is super old, when you swim you swim and step on chipped paint. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. It’s ridiculous how horrible the service...
