Harbour House Santa Marta — Hotel in Santa Marta

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Harbor House. The "hotel" has at least 6 separate private rooms to let within the larger space. There is a nice common area with kitchen, enclosed patio and living room with multiple couches. Our room was very clean simple and air cooled. No windows. The 2nd bed in the loft requires climbing up a steep narrow ladder so be prepared for that. The owner was very responsive and helped us book our bus back to Cartagena. The place felt VERY secure as there are a series of gates and locks to get thru to enter the property. The street is on the outskirts of the old town which makes it quieter and more peaceful. Myself and my boyfriend have been travelling together the past 3 years and both agree that this is the best place we have ever stayed (hostel/hotel/airbnb). The hostel is absolutely gorgeous and very close to the main strip. The rooms are big and very private. The breakfast was DELICIOUS. I see ma y good reviews from a long time ago and I assume the place was great, right now the water pressure is too low for a shower, the hammock is broken the internet keeps disconnecting and is not strong enough for a voice call and the street is shady and noisy at night.
