Gnam dolce — Restaurant in Santa Marta

Really wish I could give this place a better review. Was here waiting for my wife to get her hair done and got lunch. The food was great but when it came time to pay the waiter Jesus shorted me on my change. The total was 51000 and something like 56000 with tip (which is optional in Colombia). I paid 100,000 and Jesus brought me 37000 change. I immediately knew he charged me the “gringo tax.” So I let it happen, knowing my Spanish is worse than my Colombian wives, and hoping he actually might correct the mistake. He didn’t correct the mistake and let me just walk out, pretty much robbing me. When I came back with my wife, Jesus immediately turned and walked away pretending to be busy. My wife talked to girls behind the counter and told them what happened, and they instantly gave her the correct change. Funny how that works.

Tourists should feel welcome at an establishment like this, that is if you want our business. But don’t worry I’ll for sure be letting all my friends know to not give their business to a place where the waiters rob you if you’re not from here. Jesus, I hope that was worth it bro. I’m from America, the 10000 you took is like 2 dollars. Like half the price of a cup of coffee. You did some shady stuff for 2 dollars. Wow. You lost my business. Got a bad review. The place is absolutely gorgeous and a nice cold oasis in the heat of Santa Marta. We were seated and attended quickly. We got the caramel affogato and strawberry latte and 2 limonadas. The affogato was insanely delicious but to me the strawberry latte was an odd flavor combo. The limonadas were perfect! Cold tart a little sweet just everything you need! My boyfriend got the parfait and I got the papa campesino (wrong name but def had campesino in it)! The parfait was so refreshing light and delicious all the fruits were ripe and it was literal perfection to start the day! The campesino was hearty and filling, a bit too heavy for me but we’re traveling today so hopefully it’ll hold me over. Food, Service, Atmosphere 5 Stars! Loved my visit at Gnam Dolce cafe. I will be back as many times as possible. Check out the milkshake they made me! I even added a shot of espresso. Perfect combination of flavors.

Highly recommend the Tartufo Negro milkshake (as featured in the menu) with a shot of espresso for an extra kick of flavors 💯

Warning it is definitely one of the sweetest things you could ever order 10/10 but it's important to treat yourself sometimes. Life is short 😎 👍
