Agua de Rio Cafe Bistro — Restaurant in Santa Marta

I've been here 3 times and I was impressed throughly every time and left super satisfied 😊

This is my go to spot in Santa Marta when I want a delicious breakfast or afternoon coffee.

I have ordered a cappuccino coffee x3, pumkin spice waffles with fruit and neapolitan eggs with a large healthy portion of avocado 🥑 The prices are excellent for what you get.

The food the staff creates is incredible and always tastes amazing. Perfection at it's best! To top it off one of the best cappuccino's and great atmosphere.

The only problem is there might be a short wait for a table but totally worth your time. I would suggest maybe painting the enterance door a brighter color or a better sign out front as it's easy to walk past :)

Superb service and food. They had also just changed the menu and had a promotion with a hired DJ and six excellent sample drinks (variations of rum, tequila, mezcal, and gin) included.

The pasta that was served was such a high quality I thought an Italian worked here. Apparently the noodles were hand-made. Cooked to perfection too.

I had the fish- a generous portion grilled and seasoned minimally but also excellent atop a bed of basil and cheese orzo.

We were too curious so we also sampled desserts. Probably the best flan I've ever had.

The outside of the building is very deceiving. You will be pleasantly surprised once you pop in because Agua de Rio is a hidden gem!

I ordered the chicken pesto panini and the fish entree. The fish entree had Asian flavors but with lots of limes. It was delish! The chicken sandwhich was super oily so I removed one of the breads that was soaked. It came with potatoes that were to die for. All my friends really enjoyed their food too! We all agreed that it was the best thing we had during our 3 days in Santa Marta.

This looks like a beautiful place to study and get work done. It's quaint for sure and the prices are great. Definitely want to come back some day to try...
