This is a full package. This trip, you get to try local foods, bike, hike, swim, snorkel, and kayak. It was well worth the cost, and I find it to be the best value for someone who enjoy various outdoor activities. Walter, the coordinator (owner?) was nice and communicated well using WhatsApp. But be warned that you should be somewhat an experienced in bike riding and somewhat fit to ride up hill for 30+ min X 2 and hike up the hills for 30-45 min. You meet at the Rent A Bike shop in the town, a block down from Parque de los Nuvios to Carrera 4, shop is between Calle 19-20. Small shop, bike used are 26" 14-18 speed mountain bikes, needs some tuning but was ok. Tour guide Francisco was an awesome guy, very friendly and Speaks English well. You first tried out the bike then handed a large bottle of water and head out to north side of town with lots of markets, where you will stop to have a Arepa y huevo, unique breakfast, where arepa was cooked then put an egg in it then fried. It was very good. Then Francisco bought some bananas for the trip. Weaving through traffics, we headed up the hills, although lots traffics they were considerate and I didn't feel dangerous. My wife, a novice rider on flat ground was struggling to get up, Francisco stayed with her to go up and they ended up getting off the bike to walk up the hill. (I was thankful and this also gave me chances to rest up), down hill was nice in 90+ degree weather. We stop once to take a photo of Santa Marta, then another to view/pic of Taganga. Once at Taganga, we dropped the bike then hike up the hills to get to Playa Sisiguaca(?) which is past Playa Grande Taganga, more secluded and swimmable beach, water was clear and lots of fish to snorkel (Tour provided mask & snorkel). about twenty feet in water dropped off and became rocky but fishes were every where. I actually enjoyed more here than in Bahamas. Even in shallow area, you dropped some banana then you had a school of fish swamming you. After snorkel we head back to Playa Grande Taganga, then got on a kayak to Taganga for a nice fish meal (lunch provide but drink was not, I paid 23k pesos ($5.50) for 4 beers and a...
Read moreThis was definitely a amazing way to finished our trip in Colombia. We even had other plans but once we heard about this tour we canceled them and did not regret it at all! We had two tour guides with us at all times and they made us feel super encouraged and included. For the snorkeling they made sure we knew how the equipment worked and took the time to give us some pointers and helped us practice before we went more deep in the water. The lunch was very delicious! The views were incredible! And the bike ride⊠it was a bit hard since we donât have the stamina to ride a bike up a hill but once you reach the top and see that view, it was very worth it. The hike was short but very enjoyable and they taught us many things along the way. Kayaking was the last activity we did before riding back and the water felt amazing...
Read moreWOW. This tour was AMAZING!!! Walter drove us out to minca were we met up with pacho who took us on the tour. These guys made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and fun. We rode up to visit the waterfalls and then back down into minca were we had a bloody nice lunch with the lads. After that we rode up to the coffee farm and did the tour of the farm which was cool. Then rode back and Walter was waiting with a beer when we finished. My partner and I donât speak fluent Spanish so the whole time the boys were helping us with learning some Spanish which was so cool. We could not recommend these guys high enough. Theyâre super professional and provide a really good service. Money very well spent. Weâll be back for sure. From your Aussie mates jaymie and kaylah....
