Imagine Hostel — Hotel in Santa Marta

If there would be the possibility to give 10 stara out of 10 - they would get them! On our trip through latinamerica we stayed only 3 nights. It was such a great stay - the hostel is a wonderful cozy place with an extraordinary service!! You really feel like they truly care for you. Everybody tried to help when we lost our wallet in the bus the night when we arrived/ or it was stolen while we slept, no idea. They helped in every possible way with calling the bus company, giving many vary useful recommendations for day trips, in and around Santa Marta and who we can contact for city tours. The breakfast was very good and the room clean, well decorated and functional. They have a cute cat that's very friendly and we'll educated.

In a nutshell: we would have loved to stay longer but they were fully booked after the 3 nights.

Imagine is one of my favorite hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a small, calm and inviting place with great ambience. The staff there are so kind and friendly - I didn’t want to leave. They really make you feel welcome and are incredibly helpful with any questions.

Overall, the rooms and bathrooms and kept very clean. Wifi is fast and breakfast is included, which is amazing considering the price. It is a bit far from the nightlife, so you should use a taxi if you are solo or going out as It’s not a very safe area at night.

Solid option. Personally I like when hostels have the big communal bathroom (3 showers, 3 toilets) like this one does. They turn on air conditioning in the dorm rooms from 7am-7pm which I think is pretty typical for Santa Marta hostels. No included breakfast which was fine (we recommend going to Fritos Bryan around the block). They had a nice open area to sit in, but it was pretty hot and definitely not very social. They provided a towel for each guest which was nice! Overall, nice clean quiet...
